We stayed there while visiting my parents who live in Surrey. Also to be tourists for my husband and his family. As with any unfamiliar place, I would not recommend venturing out at night, the day time hours however are fine. Being near transit means there are always buses, and security around. This hotel is in a very bad location unless you need to stay here for an event hosted by the hotel. After dark it was scary leaving the hotel even to walk and get your car from the parking lot. My friend and I stayed at this Days Inn for a couple of nights so we could visit her Mom who was in the hospital. Days Inn Surrey would be a good hotel at any price, but at the bargain price (US $113/night when I was there) it cant be beat. We planned on stying in downtown Vancouver but after reading about bad experiences we decided to stay in Surrey. This was an excellent choice. Staff is nice, room clean, actually very big with a fridge and microwave. Never stay in downtown Vancouver because when we drove by we saw bunch of drunk people and drug addicts around another Days Inn... more

Our extended family have used The Days Inn in Surrey many times in the past 2 years for convenience.
