Were very pleased with the hotel. Lovely entrance lobby and the room was fab. King bed with 2 chairs, foot stool, large tv, excellent! Breakfast was good with a good selection of items catering for all tastes, nothing to much trouble.
Would definitely recommend.

For Toronto price reasonable and close to highway 401. Good enough self-serve breakfast included. Clean, friendly and free parking. Do not try to get from downtown to hotel in rush hour but normally less than 30 minutes into center.

Just spent 2 days at the Holiday East Express in Scarborough April 2012, our 2nd visit within the past year. Although this is an older hotel, it is kept in decent shape. Still had a hot breakfast of scrambled eggs and sausage or pancakes. Elevator broke the 2nd day we were there, and was still broken 3rd day we left....

Finding a reasonably priced place to stay in Toronto can sometimes be a challenge. The HI Express in Scarborough was excellent value, with well appointed and clean rooms and it was incredibly easy to find. This Holiday Inn is well situated just off the 401 at Markham Road and adjacent to the Keg Steak House.. The hotel staff are very helpful and courteous. I used to stay in Holiday Inn or HI Express that's why I wasn't surprised with friendly and helpful staff in this particular hotel. Looks like they really do care of the guests and are happy to make your stay comfortable. Other things that I like is high lobby ceiling decorated with wood and fireplace in the middle of it....
