Can't say it was very bad, but. not a good one ether. Not a really water front, need to walk 2-4 min. to the beach, across the road. Dangerous for the kids to run freely around. The beach is not for swimming. No place to ride a bike. No activities for kids or adults, just one playground. If you looking... More

I just came back from the Wig a Mog Inn in Halibuton Ontario. Never mind that the cottage we stayed in was run down. The resturant on the premises was appauling. The food came 45 minutes after we ordered, my sons hot dog cold, my avacado and chicken sandwich came without the avacado. When i voiced myself to the waitress... More

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that your recent stay at the Wigamog Resort was not an enjoyable one. While some parts of the resort have been completely renovated like the Lakeside Studios and the Wild Moose Pub & Patio, the summer cottages have not yet been completely renovated. The rustic country cozy cottages have been... More

We spent a night at the Wigamog in July 2012 after visiting our children at summer camp. This is an old resort that was very run-down before the new owners started an extensive renovation. Pros: We stayed in the Lakeside rooms. Our room was large, clean and nicely furnished in a simple hotel style, with a big comfortable bed, sofabed,... More

Thank you for your feedback and we appreciate your positive comments and concerns. The Wigamog Resort continues to undergo further transformation in order to serve you better. As you may know the resort has a vast history opening originally its doors to guests in 1922 and it is in need of some more renovations. Our featured Lakeside Studios have been... More

My wife and I stayed at the Wigamog this past Feb. 2012 on a recommendation from a friend. We were very impressed-- the manager told us the place has been extensively renovated including a huge restaurant called the Wild Moose . Our room was large, facing the lake with a balcony, new king bed with comfy duvet and pillows. We... More

This is now our second stay in 2 years. The food had greatly improved and the accommodations are solid, especially if you stay at the newly renovated lodge (which is where our friends always stay), though we also liked the Seminole Cottage a lot. There are many great trails where you can walk / ski for hours within the rolling... More

We were at Wigamog in October and had booked all ten rooms of the Lakeside block. It was an amazing weeked even though the weather was awful - great food, service, very clean and comfortable. The chef cooked us a special meal for the Saturday evening and it was absolutely delicious. Congratulations to the team at Wigamog and thanks for... More

We decided to stay somewhere up north this fall to enjoy some peace and the gorgeous fall colours. The Wigamog was offering a deal through one of the online deal of the days so we thought we'd give it a try. They are still renovating the majority of the resort and recently reopened after being closed for about 2 years... More

It was August....summer holidays when we stayed at Wigamog Inn in Haliburton, however, it seemed more consistent with "Off Season". General Overview...Very unkept property....not swept, chairs not straightened from one day to another, cushions on chairs by pool left out in rain, beach chairs dirty, not enough garbage pails (especially on beach), no place for cigarette butts, so guests just... It is unfortunate to hear about the past negative experiences (among some positive reviews) at the old Wigamog Inn Resort. The resort has now undergone renovations and has re-opened under new management as The Wigamog Resort Conference Centre & Spa. All of our Lakeside and Poolside Studios have been totally revitalized including new bathrooms with granite top vanities, new flooring,... More
