I stayed here with my daughter and grandson on 26 Oct 2011. Do not be put off by the appeareance of the bar and restrauant, they could both do with urgent refurbishment. However we had a family room with one double and two single beds and the room was very spacious and newly decorated, the beds were clean but the... More

The Foelas Arms is simply the best hotel accommodation you will find if you like get away from itall holidays with superb in house facilities. Mine hosts Lucille and Warren are fabulous and will do their very best to ensure your stay is memorable. The ghotel is an old coaching inn on the A5 but there will be no Dick... More

We stayed here when we spent a weekend walking in Wales. The room was ok. The shower was in the corner of the bedroom but it worked fine! and a little wooden screen was provided if you didnt want anyone to look. The bed was very comfortable. We had a few drinks in the bar in the evening and played... More

Lets get straight to the point. Dont go to the Foelas Arms if you want a 5* Hotel to spend a luxury weekend with your lover.... however, if like most people you are in the area for a weekend of walking, climbing etc, then the Foelas Arms is great. Yes the rooms are from the 60`s, no there isnt a... More

Old-fashioned, friendly inn. It's on the A5, easy to find and convenient for getting to other places - surprised at how quiet it was considering the proximity to the main road. There is some parking at the front of the hotel although you may have to park up the side road in the evenings. Staff friendly, good breakfast (although 9... More

It was dirty, smelled, the en-suite room consisted on a shower of which the door swung onto the bed. Beds were uncomfortable and the linen was dirty. The staff seemed unclear of their responsibilities and breakfast was not served until 9, which was too late, they had an agreement with a close cafe which opens at 7.30am, but it did... More

I found this hotel randomly on the internet and my dad, son and I used it as a base for a hill walking weekend. The service was great, the staff and locals really friendly, it was clean and the breakfast was delicious. It's on the A5 so easy to get around but it's surprisingly quiet. No traffic noise and the... More

Very dissapointed. As other reviews here have said, the place is old and well overdue for a complete renovation. (The ceiling paper in our room was held up with sellotape and the switch for the toilet was above the door which my wife couldn't reach.) On a lighter note, the staff we polite and the cooked breakfast was good despite... More

Nice and clean large rooms. Very good breakfast. Can be a bit noisy if you are located above the bar area at weekends. More
