We had a four night stay in the Y-stabl cottage. The owner, Linda, was very welcoming and helpful. We were provided with maps and helpful guidebooks during our stay. Cottage was well-equipped from the kitchen to the bedroom. Plenty of towels and nice hot showers. We were there in the summer but it was quite cold in the cottage. Heat... More

Y-Stabl cottage was an ideal place to explore Snowdonia. Feels lovely and peaceful and off the beaten path without actually being too far from local attractions like Betws Y coed or shops in Llanrwst. Compact cottage for 2 had all the bits we needed. No WiFi but didn't want that anyway. The cottage could have done with a better dust... More

Glad you enjoyed your break. I can only apologise for the spider's in the corners, I can assure you that we clean all our cottages very thoroughly. But because of the cottage being around 300 years old all the cottages seem to get spiders at this time of the year. I can clean in the morning and by the afternoon... More

We have just finished a 5 day stay at Maes Madog and have come away with nothing but great memories. The cottages are absolutely beautiful, well kept and in a perfect location. Linda and Hefin were very welcoming and fantastic hosts. My two young children, 4 and 9, loved the open space and walks around the surrounding fields. Although secluded... More

So pleased you all enjoyed your holiday in one of our cottages. It was nice to hear about your days out especially when you told us about the Maze. I advised a family to go there today and they loved it. We shall visit with our grandchildren next week. Thank you for visiting. Linda and Hefin More

A great location for walking and exploring Snowdonia. Very peaceful. The accommodation was great for a Summer getaway. We ate outside to enjoy the surroundings and the cottage was well equipped with everything we needed. Just wish we could have stayed longer.

We stayed in the Y-Stabl Cottage over the Easter weekend (17th-21st April 2014). The cottage was lovely and clean with everything you could need. Betws-Y-Coed is within walking distance following the local footpath and the land surrounding the cottage was beautiful and scenic. We enjoyed many a picnic in the fields watching the lambs during our stay. The cottage was... More

Thank you for the good review. Hope you enjoyed your last picnic here on the farm, before you left. And of course your experience with the baby lambs. Good luck for the future with your chosen carers. Regards Linda and Hefin More

We loved this cottage set on a traditional sheep farm on a hill just outside Betws-y-coed. It was comfortable, clean & quiet, with every mod con you could need - just what we wanted for a countryside holiday. Even though we were there early in the season, the cottage was cosy and warm at all times. Despite being in a... More

After having a panic with the heating failing in the cottage you had booked, we are so glad that you found Tan Dderwen just as good. Glad you didn't take my advise not to go up Snowdon until the Saturday ( we all know it would have been a wash out ) But knowing you went on the Friday, I... More

So pleased you all enjoyed your weekend. You arrived at a very exciting time for sheep farmers and I was so pleased that a ewe waited until you were in the lambing shed to have her twins! Hope to see you all again. Thank you for staying. Linda and Hefin More

We have stayed at the maes mason cottages now on numerous occasions, and that's for a very goo reason. Linda and Hefin are very helpful and also give you the space to not even notice they are there. The location is perfect to hear nothing but the sounds you travel the distances to hear, please and quiet! A nice walk... More

This place is prefect. The owners were lovely, helpful and caring and the cottage was beautiful, cosy and quaint - exactly what you want from a cottage in Snowdonia. It's a perfect example of rural luxury; everything you need and nothing you don't. The location is ideal as it's remote enough to be quiet and relaxing but close enough to... More

What a wonderful place! The farm is stunning - a traditional sheep farm that makes you feel like part of the family. The children were in their element, discovering & exploring.
