Lovely stay here with a lovely room and service. Breakfast was great and the location is very peaceful by the North Atlantic sea. The landlady and staff were very welcoming and the house is very clean. Recommended!

The guesthouse is situated on the seafront, about 500m from the circular road – the seafront consists of stone-block sea defences, rather than a beach; it also houses a restaurant which has a limited but OK menu. As noted by other reviewers, the external appearance is unprepossessing. Accommodation is provided on several levels, each having shared bathroom facilities. The bedroom... More

very hospitable service, nice food and quiet place by the sea. The guesthouse is run by a team of very friendly people, with Jolanta who is the manager. She is wonderful, like a mother to everybody who visits. I would rate this a friendly guesthouse and will definately get back there when I am in the area.

On the way back to Reykjavik, we spent a night at the guesthouse Kiljan. The outside look of the house was a little bit scary but inside, the owners are doing a real effort to make it cosy. Flavors and colors will maybe not be adjusted to everyone's taste but the place is clean. There is still some effort to... More

The Kiljan Guesthouse is run by a very friendly Polish Family. Came by car to Blondous on Iceland. It was raining and we needed a cheap place to stay. The guesthouse looked somewhat shabby from the outside, but inside it was cosy. A room without own bath was priced ok. Evening meal served in the restuarant was delicious. Had a... More

We were in blndus on a buisness trip amd we found this little B&B when we were really tierd. The place didnt really look like a B&B on the outside, the garden was a little mess. Then we walked in and a nice polish lady made us feel really welcome despite the fact that her english wasnt really good. We... More

I stayed in Blonduos for one night but just not here. I just happened to stumble upon it because it was the only place in town serving breakfast. Normally you have to have your meal ordered the night before, however the manager Jolanta prepared breakfast for us anyway. We had one of the best meals in our week in Iceland.... More

When we arrived to check in, my husband and I were asked to step aside by first the husband, and then the wife, so they could check another woman in who arrived after us, despite proclaiming our reservation. When the woman pointed out that we were there first, they said "yeah, yeah..." and continued. We were given the unfinished front... More

We stayed at Blonduos on our way back from Husavik. The room was clean, as was the shared bathroom (so beloved by Icelanders). Yola was incredibly welcoming, cooked us an evening meal, though we had arrived pretty late on, and we enjoyed a good night's sleep. As everyone else has said, her breakfast buffet is HUGE - you'll eat enough... More
