I was on a tour of England and 44 of us piled into this old pub. The meal they served us was delicious, homemade and the owners were very friendly. I would highly recommend eating there. We did not stay overnight.

My wife and I stayed here for one night whilst in the area. The rooms are comfortable and warm, if perhaps a little dated. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and do all they can to make your stay enjoyable. We were very impressed with the breakfast which was cooked fresh for each guest. The evening meal menu in... The Plough In is good for business travellers because the rooms are warm, clean and no noise from the inn [but see below]. There is ample parking. Breakfasts are excellent and served early, with a newspaper. There is a wide choice of nicely cooked and presented evening meals and the inn is very popular with locals, which is a testament... More

After reading the other reviews on trip advisor the plough looked like the place for me. I travel a great deal on business and stay in a lot of hotels in the £40 to £60 bracket. The rooms are small and shabby. The TV in my room had a nasty buzz on the sound that was very annoying. The bathroom... More

For the price we paid, this place was excellent. We stayed for 2 nights and found the staff incredibly welcoming and friendly. Excellent breakfast included in the price too! Our room was cosy but all we needed for our trip and very clean. A great bargain!
