I have travelled quite extensively in Scotland, I'm obsessed with the country as a whole and have spent many days to and from Skye. After staying at Stationmasters, you can be assured I will not stay anywhere else! The owners are friendly and nice and truly made us seem welcome. We saw otters every morning that we were there and... More

My husband and I stayed at this hostel Friday to Monday. We had a lovely and comfy ensuite room on the top floor. The hostel is well equipped, clean and friendly. Ewan and Kath were great hosts and were more than happy to assist with any queries. The views from the loch are fantastic and we had a great time... More

I have to start by saying that this is a beautiful house and the location is absolutely stunning. Overlooking the water it seemed so peaceful. Then the other guests started to arrive. Around 20 of them. We all squeezed into 1 house with 1 small kitchen (a particular problem given the remote location) and a few sofas. Peace and quiet... More

Had a wonderful stay here as part of our tour with Heartland Travel. Beautiful location on Loch Carton. Hostel is really well equipped and the owners are really welcoming and helpful. Can't recommend it enough.

This is a really great place. Clean, right on the water, with friendly family owners and cozy bunk rooms ranging from 1 to 6 or more beds. I absolutely loved the time I spent here. The kitchen's well enough stocked for making dinner, and the location, as I said, is unbeatable. Stay here!!

Cute, cozy place. very nice atmosphere. you can really tell they've put effort... More

Just back from 2 nights staying at the Stationmaster's Hostel. What an amazing location if you're visiting Skye or the mainland. From the moment we arrived, Ewen and Kath made us feel truly welcome in their beautiful hostel. The accommodation itself is exremely comfortable and clean, with an exceptionally chilled vibe. Great facilities for cooking and an amazing outdoor area... More

We are just back from a 4 day trip up North staying at The Stationmasters Hostel. Our lack of a car meant we were looking for a place to stay near transport links...and this couldn't be nearer with Stromeferry station right on the doorstep. Excellent location for exploring the local forests, and visiting Plockton and Achmore, the nearest villages. The... More
