After a hectic university reunion in Paris, we were welcomed, spoiled and treated to a wonderful B&B. Dean couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect. He and his entire family - Susan, George, Ellie and Oliver - were charming, hospitable, knowledgeable, and interested in each of us. Each morning provided a new treat - homemade bread, muffins, and even... More

Our stay at La Beauconniere was one of the highlights of our trip to France. The accomodations were simply lovely: large suite, well appointed, and spotless. Surrounded by lovely countryside and away from the noise and traffic of the city, La Beauconniere is a beautiful haven for those wanting to visit the Normandy attractions or simply wishing to enjoy a... We enjoyed our stay - the accommodation was clean, very spacious and with views at the rear of horses grazing in the field and to the front, Dean & Susan's charming house, it was a hidden gem. The house was peaceful (we had it all to ourselves!), ideally located to visit Mont St Michel, D-Day beaches, Bayeux & the Cotentin... More

As with so many of our guests, it was a pleasure having this lovely couple stay with us. I recall that they visited a great many of the sights that Normandy has to offer. However, it may be that I neglected to point out the several towns and villages less than 10 minutes away, such as Torigni-sur-Vire, Caumont L'Evente, Cerisy... More

This was our first experience in a B&B. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of La Beauconniere from the lovely grounds to the warm greeting and the bountiful breakfasts. Dean and Susan are wonderful hosts, very informative on sites in the area and directions to them. Excellent recommendations for dinner. Beautiful countryside and very relaxing. Our room was very large and... More

It is very hard to sum up how fantastic our stay at La Beauconniere was,' Awesome', my children would say. Dean, Susan and their 3 children are a joy to be around and a privilege to know. Dean is an oracle of information and on many occasions his advice was invaluable ( who needs a guide book for Normandy when... More

My husband and I were lucky enough to spend a few days at La Beauconniere this past March. Our stay was incredible! This is how all Bed and Breakfasts should be! The host family were very accommodating and very knowledgeable about the area. They had maps brochures, made dinner reservations, everything to make our visit relaxing and enjoyable. The breakfasts... More

What an amazing stay. We only wished we could have stayed longer. Dean and his family welcomed us so warmly and made us feel right at home. Our younger children had a wonderful time exploring the grounds and playing in the yard. Our teenager had a nice time relaxing in the yard and watching the horses. There are not enough... More

La beauconniere is not your average B&B. Firstly it is in the most beautiful and restful parts of France that is only just over an hour away from Cherbourg or Caen, and secondly because the rooms are in a seperate building from the main home of the owners Dean & Susan. It is also not the average B&B because not... More

We loved our time a La Beauconniere. The location, although very rural, was actually well situated for seeing Normandy. Dean took care to ensure we had dinner reservations every night and he didn't steer us wrong. Would recommend it.

La Beauconniere, a B & B in Normandy was a wonderful place to stay for me and my fiance . It is hard to sum up our experience in words as we loved our stay with our hosts, Dean and Susan. They made us feel so much at home and provided everything that we could possibly need. Our accomodations were... More
