Dean and Susan made our stay so enjoyable, although they did try very hard to make us put on weight with their to die for home made pear cake and pastries! Dean was a walking history book and personal trip advisor, always guiding us on our day trips, So, treat yourself and visit this wonderful Band B ...you won't be... More

Having paid attention when booking, this charming B&B provides exactly what was promised, and exactly what we were looking for! Dean and Susan are wonderful hosts. Yes - this is out in the middle of nowhere - enjoy it! Normandy is not huge - we could get everywhere from this location. The nights are dark and dead quiet, so sleep... More

This B&B is absolutely delightful. Dean & Susan are terrific hosts and the property is just beautiful. I wish I could have stayed longer! Dean made dinner reservations for us (food was some of the best we've had in France) and he gave us tips on where to visit for our Normandy experience. Wonderful experience and would highly recommend La... More

I usually don't write reviews, but this experience was so wonderful I feel I must. Even though we had seen the photos on the web site, the real thing was moving. It is a beautiful, and relaxing place. Perfect after long days of sightseeing. Susan's delicious breakfast offerings and Dean's sightseeing tips are a great way to start the day.... More

Everything was good here: the proprietors were very friendly and helpful (they had great restaurant suggestions for us). The property is clean, nicely decorated, quiet and a wonderful place to park yourself for a few days as a base for seeing the sights of this area. It is well away from town, which could be a problem if you do... More

We stayed with Dean and Susan in September, a beautiful time of year in Normandy. The room was comfortable, the setting bucolic, the company of our host, and the other guests, engaging. We enjoyed generous breakfasts each morning, with fresh home baked goods and a fine selection of pastries from an excellent local bakery. It was a pleasure to just... More

Our trip to Normandy this summer started at Susan and Dean in Beaconniere. Their service and hospitality as well as their knowledge about all the local attractions, gave us the perfect platform for a perfect stay.

Upon arriving at La Beauconniere we were greeted like long lost friends by our host Dean. His cheerful enthusiasm brightens the whole place. His wife Susan is equally congenial. The shuttered, ivy covered, stone guest house is located behind the family home which you approach down a long tree-lined drive. Our party stayed in 2 large family rooms (large bedroom... More

Beautiful setting. Perfect host. Breakfast with coffee. Charming rooms. This is by far one of the most delightful B & B that we have ever visited. Dean and Susan are superior hosts. Cheerful, informative and always helpful. The setting is peaceful and gives the experience of the French countryside with a family and their everyday lives. Thank you for your... More
