Quaint can describe Alpine Inn room 227, if that meant a small room with no air conditioning, a non-working bathroom fan, dingy caulking, a hole in the bathroom wall, and a toilet handle that you eventually figure out flushes when you pull up. I walk in the woods with no socks, and I didn't want to touch the floor without... More

We booked online...the key for us was a king size bed. Clearly we didn't do enough research. The room was TINY...then you had to crawl, yes crawl upstairs to the bed. You had to crawl to avoid hitting your head in at least three places. The stairs up to the "bedroom" were no way to code...steps were steep and short.... More

The room was a little dated, a few dings in the walls and ceilings probably from the ski season. But the bed was comfy, we had a little fridge, and the balcony had 2 chairs for watching the clouds roll in and out of the mountains. Close to disc golf, gondola, restaurants, and trails. A very nice stay for a... More

My husband and I stayed at the Quicksilver Lodge last Saturday for the last weekend of the regular ski season. I was completely flabbergasted that we paid $200 for this sad little room. The hotel was probably built in the '60's and probably had one remodel in the '80's. The first thing I noticed when I entered the hotel/motel was... More

This is the second time my daughter and I have spent a couple of days at Crystal and stayed at the Alpine Inn. We used the Travelzoo special both times and feel that it offers a pretty good deal. The Inn itself is basic, but our room was clean and comfortable - two double beds, good sized bathroom, great WiFi.... More

Down-to-Earth comforts. Not for the high and mighty looking for posh accommodations. Sure, the room was small but this is a skier's get-away not a palace. Loved the people running the joint and the restaurant was decent. Fun little bar downstairs called Snorting Elk. Ski vids on the walls and good conversation was enough for us. Nice locally brewed beers... More

Comfortable lobby. Room was depressing. Heated floors in bathroom were the best feature. Convenient to the slopes. Ski all day and get a good night's sleep. Breakfast was OK, good coffee and nice staff.

We had reservations at the Alpine Inn, but discovered there was no TV in the room (my wife was upset, since she wasn’t going to ski, she wanted a TV in the room). The Hotel staff was very accommodating and immediately moved us to another hotel (Quicksilver Lodge) across the parking lot (there are actually three properties at Crystal Mountain... More

Imagine you had an uncle with an old house that hadn't been renovated in 40 years, with 70's décor, tiny rooms, and bathrooms that were functional but Spartan. This is the Alpine Inn. The rooms are fine for a guys' getaway, but certainly not a place to take a girl you're trying to impress. That said, everything is clean and... More

We stayed here in August for a night and then rode the gondola up to the top and hiked down. Enjoyed our meals at the restaurant too. Appreciated how close everything was. Drove up to Sunrise the next day and did more hiking. such a beautiful area!
