After 10 days of sight seeing we needed to find a quiet place to unwind, my wife found this spot and the minute we pulled in I knew it was a good pick, the staff was friendly they even a fun scavenger hunt that got the kids out into the woods they had a lot laughs and had some quiet... More

These rooms do not offer central air conditioning or ceiling fans. Jennifer at the front desk was very accommodating when we requested another room that was not in direct sunlight in the afternoons. Problem solved!

Thank you, Jon, and we're glad Jennifer was able to help! We very much appreciate you staying with us. As anyone who lives here will tell you, our weather the past couple of weeks has been unusual. Very few, if any, hotels around Mt. Rainier are air-conditioned as it usually isn't necessary. Even when it's hot during the day, though,... More

we had a very clean and cozy unit. The only bad thing was the microwave. It was way too high. They should put it on a roller cart or something lower. But overall it's in a good location and they do sell some food at their little store. But bring some of your own food etc. Their is a restaurant... More

This resort is nice and mostly quiet. It has a nice log cabin for couples, the rest of the resort is quite dated. We were quoted $250 a night and assured that it was a beautiful room. The room was average size with a real fireplace which made the entire place smell strongly of smoke. It was built some place... More

If you’re reading this, you’re someone who does research before reserving a vacation. We appreciate people like you. We want every guest to be happy and we take any guest complaints seriously. However, in this instance, we had to take this guest’s complaints with a grain of salt. Why? Because this reviewer neglects to mention is that he originally made... More

first of all, Mt Ranier is incredible. we were in awe of every tree. it was so lush and green. it was pretty much raining the whole time we were there but that was ok. this place was so comfy. we loved staying here. the front desk gal was so helpful in explaining different hikes to us. she told us... Alta Crystal Resort was made for families. Our kids loved the nightly smores fest around the campfire, the wide selection of movies for rent (come on, they should be complimentary, right?), and the rec room with a ping pong table and foosball. They would have really enjoyed the heated swimming pool, which was packed with kids long into the night),... More

For 2 people from Florida who just got married, this place was absolutely perfect for us!!! The front desk staff was great and our room was pretty decent. Great location and so close to Mt. Rainier National Park!

A quaint, somewhat "rustic" group of small buildings with exterior entries to very nice suites. Hard to describe because the whole setting was superb while not a "luxury" hotel. Tucked into the forest just off the only road into the area near Crystal Mountain. Saw a family of Elk about 25 yards away on first night! - Lovely, year round... More

We visited Alta with another couple in February, as a weekend trip out of Seattle. This was by far the best lodging option for our ski trip. We had the two-level loft room (one bedroom on the bottom floor and then one queen sized bed in the loft). It was just enough space for two couples. We spent most of... More

My husband and I spent three lovely nights at the honeymoon cabin during MLK weekend. The cabin is so cozy and comfortable! It's the kind of cabin I'd like to own near Crystal Mountain! Pros: gas fireplace, functional kitchen, comfy bed, outdoor pool/jacuzzi, clean, comfortable, gorgeous cabin. Cons: None! After staying here I will never again stay at the Alpine... More
