the trip to Bella Coola is an eye catching panorama. The Coast Mountains begin to appear 300 Kms from Williams Lake on Highway 20. The road is paved until you leave Anahim Lake. Good gravel to "The Hill". The Hill drops 4500 feet in a series of switch backs until you reach the Bella Coola Valley floor. Great feat of... More

we went here based on other reviews and were very happy. the hotel was very clean and the food in the restaurant was super, with good prices. it was a good choice for us based on location and price. it wasn't a "fancy" hotel, but very functional.

We stayed there for several days. It is nice to return to a clean and comfy home after a day of activities. The rooms are very nice and spacious, and staff is friendly. This place can get very busy during summer so book early. One thing though the rooms on the ground level is without air conditioning. It isn't a... More

Where do you start with Bella Coola? The wilderness surrounding a small community who are First Nation and settler incomers, all of whom are friendly and helpful to the visiting first-timer.But best of all after a hard days slogging on the trails, coming back to the Valley Inn and good food, excellent service and cold beer! The area is awe-inspiring and after... The great service started with the offer to pick me up from the airport. The check-in was smooth and friendly. While the place is definitely a bit dated, they are doing all they can with it. The room had a fridge, a comfy bed, and it was clean. Even had a paper band around the toilet seat and that is... More

We just stumbled into this place located right in the town of Bella Coola and had a very good meal and a very good, comfortable room. The manager, Tom, was very attentive to our needs and even served as our waiter (and bus boy). The restaurant was crowded and a little noisy but stick with the Asian foods and you... More

We arrived very late from the ferry and the staff was very efficient in getting the bunch of us into rooms. Don't let the exterior fool you. The place is well looked after. Continental breakfast with home baked muffins was very good.

This may be the "only place in town" but they went out of their way to accommodate changes in our group even when the place was full. The food was good and the service at both the restaurant and the front desk was great. Highly recommended.

This property might have the term "inn" in the name, but it's a full-service hotel -- the only one in Bella Coola -- so you have it listed in the wrong category. The owners do a first-class job of maintaining the property and serving a relatively small market. The pub could use some changes, but the restaurant is excellent, and... More

We were amazed to find a "little gem" in the wilderness. We had a good night sleep after a long day on the ferry. The hotel is air conditioned, there is a coffee maker in the room, the restaurant is very good and comfortable. We only stayed one night and unfortunately moved on to Tweensmuir Lodge. The valley is very... More
