We read the reviews so came prepared with drinks and snacks, so that was useful. The rooms all have self catering facilities which are useful for lunches and picnic preparation. There is no shop on the site, there is a grocery store in Little Fort and Clearwater, but it's a rough ride back! We were very worried about finding the... More

The road in from both Clearwater and Barriere were fine and fun, we even saw ground squirrels and deer. We drove here from Whistler, just the 8 hours but what a fantastic drive. Alpine Meadows is very easy to find. The moment you enter its a case of and relax. Our cabin was very roomy and comfortable at the top... More

We only stayed her for 2 nights but I wish it had been longer. The journey here from Whistler had been epic, 8 hours but this was truely worth it. The cabins were lovely and the setting was so so peaceful. We had breakfast and supper by the lake, I don't think I've felt so relaxed. Our two girls made... More

The road from Clearwater was a surprise - we didn't expect gravel- but not too rough. But travellers have to be prepared for a long ride... The first look on the resort and it's lake is stuning. We were accommodated in a cabin up the hill with a great view from the deck. The furnishing is rustic and everything is... More

This resort is a bit of luxury in the Canadian wilderness. The road from Clearwater is absolutely fine -- well marked, and no need for four wheel drive. The road from the ferry at Little Fort is a bit scary in places because it is narrow, but again, we managed easily. The ferry operator is delightful and the North Thompson... More

This is a resort with a number of chalets and an area for RVs. Our 1 bedroom cabin was well furnished and spacious with a balcony. Although there is a kitchen area, there is very little equipment for self catering. We had bought provisions and intended to use the communal BBQ, but it was quite a way from our chalet... More

My review would have been "EXCELLENT" except that we were accommodated in a cabin that was a significant distance from the lake. This is a spectacular place. The access road we were prepared for so it was no trouble, but travelers who are unaware of the distance between Clearwater and the resort are in for a surprise. Go in prepared... More

We were here end of August for 2 nights and well worth the unknown drive from Clearwater of 20+kilometres, part of which was a dust track .....don't give up. We were very lucky with the weather ....our chalet towards the back was perfect......had everything we needed....space, balcony with great views. Just what we needed having had a busy few days... This resort was booked for us as part of a touring holiday and we had not done any research on it. Initially the 20Km drive down a gravel road seemed a little daunting but the road is in good condition and an easy drive. But when we arrived at the resort and checked into our Lodge, it was definitely a... More

The location was 40 minutes from the highway. As their restaurant closes at 7:30, we stopped to eat in Clearwater and then drove in the dark. There is no lighting, it is a complicated road with hairpin curves, the last half of it dirt/gravel/bumpy. It was somewhat horrifying, so do your best to arrive in daylight! Unfortunately the location is... More
