4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

The location was 40 minutes from the highway. As their restaurant closes at 7:30, we stopped to eat in Clearwater and then drove in the dark. There is no lighting, it is a complicated road with hairpin curves, the last half of it dirt/gravel/bumpy. It was somewhat horrifying, so do your best to arrive in daylight! Unfortunately the location is... More

When booking Alpine Meadows we were looking for a stop in between Jasper and Vancouver as the drive is 10 hours plus. What we didn't realise was what an amazing setting it was and how up set we would be only to spend 1 night there. Once you are off the long dirt road you realise you are in the... More

The sat nav gave up guiding us quite a distance from the resort but we kept going and were rewarded with a piece of heaven. The young lady at the office was really friendly and made us feel welcome. The chalet was amazing but the view of the lake from the deck was jaw dropping. Just a beautiful tranquil spot.... More

We spent 2 nights at this resort and were very happy. The resort has a private lake about 1.5 kilometers long. Boats and kayaks are available for free. The cabins and everything else are in pristine condition - they look like they were built yesterday but they are actually 12 years old (we asked). The cabins are decorated in good... More

We turned up in the early hours of the morning after getting lost but once we managed to get the manager out of his slumber he and his partner were very hospitable indeed. We were only able to take in the vista of the lake and the sounds of wildlife the follow morning. It really is a beautiful place: comparable... More

We checked out of our 2 bed roomed lodge this morning - it was fantastic in every aspect. The staff were polite and helpful and the accommodation was spotless. Even though we were set back as far as we could have been from the lake it was a nice 5 minute stroll down to enjoy the amenities on offer.

To start with I have two negatives one no shop on site and two 20 Jan from town with a long winding gravel road however on the positive beautiful setting, excellent accommodation, very clean, peaceful, relaxing, awesome scenery the perfect paradise and to rectify one of my negatives we left at 6.30am one morning and saw a mother bear with 3 cubs on the winding... We stayed here for 2 nights on our drive from Jasper to Whistler. Beautiful location, in the middle of nowhere. If you are looking for a great escape, then this is it. Great communal BBQ area with outdoor sitting area, ping pong tables, children's playground and swing set. Great for kids. Lots of boats and canoes to use at no... More

After the drive from Vancouver we were looking forward to a quiet night. What we got were breathtaking views, wonderful accommodation, great food and an excellent reception from staff. If your travel agent suggests you stay here for a night on your road trip, insist that you stay for two, you won't regret it.
