The lodge is conveniently located close to the border of the Wells Grey Park and it is easily accessible from Clearwater via a paved road. Spacious rooms, with nice furniture. No TV or WIFI, but good panoramas! Really close to the Falls and to the many other interesting trails of the park. Average meals are available, at good price. Rich... More

I think where you stay on this site probably affects your opinion. Our cabin was clean but not especially attractive and did not have a view. The restaurant did not look especially interesting so we ate 8 miles down the road which was highly recommendable. Breakfast not included. Helmcken Falls Lodge is very well placed for Helmcken Fallls which are... More

Although our "cabin" was actually a trailer it was very clean. However it was 2 small double beds. My husband & I are ave. height & feet hung over. No room extras like a fridge, ice, drinks for purchase, cheap towels & a hand soap dispenser in place of your shampoo. Cheap! Whatever you do, do not eat at the... More

We had a reservation for 2 nights, and the restaurant was closed, we no had tv, no airco, no freezer, no ice machine, no drinkmachine to buy drinks, the cabin was dusty and dirty, the bed was crocked we lay with the feeds higher then our face, so we checked out direct in the morning. and also a lot of... Stayed at this lodge for 3 nights in August. We stayed in one of the log cabin apartments which was very nice but would have benefited from a fridge. Dinner was good. Breakfast was a little expensive for what it was. Staff and owners are very friendly and helpful. The location at the entrance to the park is lovely. There... More

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a tour. Had a very nice room which was relatively new. Dinner both nights was of a good quality. Breakfast was expensive for what it was. I think it was something like $12. One of our party wanted a fruit tea and was charged an extra $2.50 on top. Bit silly...

The Helmcken Lodge has been one of the highlights of our 2 week trip around Alberta and BC. It is such a beautiful, scenic location- who cares that it's a few miles out of town? We had peace and quiet and the best nights sleep we've had. We did a fantastic 2hr ride around amazing, wild woods. The couple who... More

We stayed three nights in the lodge on our round trip and enjoyed our stay very much. We had a room in the newly built extension. The rooms were small, but very cozy and well designed to have a comfortable stay. The staff was very friendly, efficient and helpful. The restaurant is located in the main building and food and... Firstly the good points ... Great staff (including some Brits) that we're always friendly and helpful. The advice wasn't just limited to the accommodation and the site but they gave great advice about the local area too. Food in the restaurant was good too. The accommodation was nicely set up but .... The bad points. For the money I'd expect... More

Altough nice and friendly the hotel and staff made a bit of an alternative impression to us. Rooms located in separated buildings but very spacious and well equiped. Very nice dinner and breakfast room with outside area equipped with (much needed) mosquito nets. There are also nectar bottles to attract hummingbirds ! One of the best hotel-breakfasts we had in...
