Ended up here after a leisurely motorcycle ride from Calgary We had planned to return to Cranbrook for the evening but quickly decided to rest ourselves here for the evening. We sat on the front deck and watched all the traffic whiz by for the ferry. By 19:30 the traffic had noticeably slowed and by 21:30 it was very quiet.... More

My husband stays at Deer Ridge Lodge on his business travels several times each year. This time we came together. I stayed behind as he left for the day, and enjoyed a most comfortable, peaceful day reading on the front porch. There is also a beautiful more private seating area at the back of the property. This B & B... More

Stayed here in mid May, just before the long weekend. If you're looking for one of the best motorcycle routes in Canada, you can't get much better than this place. Roads were great, but the B&B was the highlight. Excellent all round and the hospitality was outstanding. This is one of those 'STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES' places.

We were on a classic road trip and found this place by internet search, based on where we figured we'd want to stop. Welcoming proprietor, clean and comfortable room, fair price. Would definitely stay here again. Interesting little artisanal shops within a few hundred meters.

We were three couples and we almost filled the place so maybe that contributed to our feeling so "at home" but I think it may have been more the graciousness of our hosts, the comfortable sleep, and the terrific breakfast! We appreciated that Neil and Catherine had no trouble finding us indoor storage for our bikes.

Clean, comfortable, quiet, contemporary, and very thoughtful service... A kind greeting, help finding a good place to eat dinner, good travel advice, and interesting conversation - the owners Neil and Catherine were very gracious hosts. The breakfasts were superb, including the egg dish (like eggs Benedict but Welsh style), fresh home made bread. I do like my coffee stronger/darker than... More

This was an over night stop on our B.C. road trip and I cannot fault it. We stayed in the Family Suite which consists of a twin room with ensuite shower room and an attached double bedroom which more than met our needs as a family of 4. The hosts were more than welcoming and the whole feel was homely... More

We were visting the various Artisans in Crawford Bay on a day trip from Nelson.....and my mother asked very politely if a bathroom was available, and there reply was very rude, leaving my mother noticeably upset.I was disappointed as everybody I have met in the kootenays and other parts of BC have been so accomodating and friendly. A small sign saying no... More

Here is what happened in detail. This person had been visiting my wife's pottery studio which is located on our property. My wife and I were sitting on our porch when the person came out of the pottery studio and attempted to enter our residence via the front door. We keep our door locked, so as she turned around, I... Neil & Catherine obvisously love what they are doing. They have created a Zen-like environment; a perfect location to un-clutter your travels. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, the proximity to the artisans and ferry and the hospitality of our hosts. We would most definitely recommend this spot to all!
