We stayed at the Sunset on our way through to Nelson and were quite happy with our room, very clean units and beds were comfortable too. The pool unfortunately was not working tho. Keep in mind this is an older motel but the owners have painted inside the units and the bathroom is especially clean. The owner was very friendly... More

So we stayed again at the Creston Hotel this past weekend, and it is with a very sad and heavy heart that we will no longer stay here anymore when traveling through Creston. The Hotel is still standing don't let my previous statement fool you. However the quality of service and the rooms have gone down hill. When we first... More

This last time was actually the second time I stayed at the Sunset. The first for 2 nights and the last time was for 4. The staff was helpful and courteous. Very affordable and the beds comfortable. I will be going back to Creston in the near future and I hope they have room for us because that is where... More

Room was very dated, bed hard as plywood, cooking facilities very old. Although fairly clean, it is so dated that makes you feel uncomfortable. Noisey as right off the main highway. There is a newer major chain further down the highway that I wished I had booked at.

Great service, great value, great sleep, clean, located right beside some wonderful fruit stands. The room (2 doubles + kitchenette) was compact but efficiently laid out. Although it is located on the highway through town, we were able to sleep fine. The room wasn't stuffy as we had experienced with other motels in this price range. There was a smell... More

I think we've all gotten used to (or at least I have) the newer chain motels. It's just not fair to compare the Sunset to those. I gave it an "average" rating" because I don't think it's "very good" or better compared to most of the places many of us are used to. But I think it's "very good" for... More

This hotel was very good for the price. The rooms were clean and in good shape. The pool was still a little cold because it is only solar heated but we had a good time using it. They recommended some restaurants that were excellent. The service was excellent. Had a fridge, microwave, and coffee machine.

Very personable and helpful lady at the front desk. Told us where to have a nice dinner and she was right on on that then when we arrived back. Before leaving for dinner I asked her if they had a hose that I could use to wash my Trike when I got back. When I arrived back the hose was pulled... More

This quiet place on the outskirts of town was a very clean older motor court. Cleaner than some larger famous chains I've visit for twice the money. Not much around. We ate at a pub. In town and it was fine. Good place for a one night stop when we needed some rest.

We spent the night in Creston at this homey motel. The price was one of the best in town which was one of our priorities. The unit had 2 beds and was very clean which was another priority. They have a microwave and a fridge in the units. This motel is pet friendly. The swimming pool would be a draw... More
