stayed 3 nights recently Positive points - well situated, 10 -15 minute bus ride to Auckland. Close to Devonport and short walk to Takapuna where there are many eating places, shops etc Negative points - the place needs an uplift, rooms was generous size, but bed uncomfortable with dip in mattress. Wi fi connection was good. Tea and coffee in... More

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Ok place to stay if only need a bed to sleep for a night however we found it very overpriced. Can't say it was anywhere worth $199 for 3 people! Location was great for downtown Takapuna and event we were at. In real need of an update or at least a good tidy up... More

After a previous unhappy visit to this Motor Inn I decided to pay extra and upgrade to a Spa Studio ( my initial bookings was via flybuys). The location was great for me and the room itself while out of date provided all the basic amenities with a balcony and this was a relief in the hot weather. On the... More

One night stay courtesy of Fly Buys, before moving into Auckland CBD for a concert. The accommodation is certainly in need of refurbishment. Most things are well worn, bed not the best, and the TV, gee my tablet screen is nearly as big. But it was comfortable and quiet. If I could score a 2.5 thats what it would be.

This hotel is way past its heyday, but the kids enjoyed the pool and I enjoyed staying on the North shore of Auckland. Overpriced compared to what we have been paying in other hotels in NZ. The host was friendly and helpful but a major overhaul is needed for this property.

Booked a spa equipped room on purpose but happened it was broken. My parents were extremely disappointed by that. No return for us. The location is just awesome though. But I would say it's the only thing that pulls this place up from the disgust of dirty rooms. The managers should really start taking care of the place and stop... More

I booked in on the day I needed to stay so I was grateful that they had accomodation available. Location for me was idea as I had meeting on the North Shore and this saved me commuting across the Harbour Bridge and having to negotiate the traffic. Check in was easy and i was made to feel very welcome. I... More

Staff at front desk were very friendly and helpful and rooms quite spacious but unfortunately the beds were poor.My double bed was two singles pushed together with one side very soft and meant you rolled towards to the side

This place needs help. The caretaker staff were courteous and provided great customer service. However the room was dirty with loads of dust in the usual places and musty smelling. The bed - old and lumpy and smelt like fly spray - awful. The furnishings cheap and outdated. It has loads of potential - fix it up!

Comfortable hotel, easy access from the harbour bridge, extremely helpful staff. Easy access to either Devonport (and hence the ferry into the CBD) or Takapuna both of which have great dining. Lovely walks along the beaches.
