We stayed here for 4 nights. Location is good for the north shore. Not far from the takapuna shops and beach. Plenty of parking available. The room is like a studio, everything all in one- except separate bathroom. Beds were ok a bit hard but fine. Furniture bit outdated but you pay for what you get. Only thing I did... More

Well situated for Devonport/North shore. Under new management who go out of their way to provide a friendly first class service. This compensated for the tired condition of our room. It was OK just tired and needed some TLC. Free WiFi and breakfast - both good + points. Also a small pool and Gym.

I was so shocked with how horrible the customer service here was! I simply asked the woman when will I get my bond back. She started yelling and screaming at me over the phone and speaking over me when I tried to talk. And then she hung up on me! I tried to get in touch with management about this... More

In desperate need of a refurb!!! Very dated and old looking (and smelling), air-con was loud and some light bulbs didn't work. Although the room was clean it just needed an overhaul on every aspect.. Place had just been put under new management and the staff seemed nice and helpful enough although their problems from the take over were vocalized... More

Don't be put off by the location. We had a great room. Very clean and the hosts could not have done more. We would go back, no problem. The service was excellent and we received good local advice about where to go and what to do.

yup, this place is well past it. bathroom wasn't clean, long time since the shower was scrubbed. the internet charge is a complete rip-off, $40 for two days. the window latch in mine, and a colleagues room, was broken. the rates they charge are way over priced, a fair price would be under $100/night. a negligible observation, but the size... I was given "an upgrade" which was actually a larger room with 3 beds in, but on the ground floor. The room itself is old, beds, lamps, carper, curtains and has large windows and window-doors around. These rooms are fully view open to anyone and people walk around and park their cars literally against your windows. What about the bathroom ?... More

Couldn't be more unhappy with our stay! First impressions were bad but things couldn't of been worse if they tried. After night one bed got remade with same sheets, rubbish in room left, and generally unacceptable from the cleaners ! Bed extremely uncomtable, rooms smell very stake and dirty - I really can't explain my displeasure with this place and... More

Although I read the reviews they were so mixed I thought maybe people were just a bit fussy. But I do have to wonder if Booking.com get the worse rooms. From the outside the place looks ok and the man on the front desk was very friendly. He expalined about the card key being linked to the power it wasn't,... More

We stayed at Park Lane for 3 nights last week. while the room was a little tired, it served our purposes and was priced accordingly. The hotel is close to town and the beach. Our plans changed a couple of times and Anne and Mark couldn't have been any more accommodating, they didn't charge any additional fees and could have.... More
