Cosy little Fireweed Hostel is close to a lot of ice climbs, and was an ideal base for our trip. Our four-bed room had enough space for our gear and the beds were clean and comfortable. The common area has a log fire and a good atmosphere. The kitchen is well-equipped but has one four-ring cooker so it isn't large... More

We very much enjoyed our stay at this 'hostel' in the 2 bedroom suite, including private kitchen and bathroom. We appreciated all the amenities and in particular, the immaculate cleanliness. The area is conveniently located to downhill/backcountry skiing and snowshoeing.

We needed a place to stay while exploring Yoho National Park, and also Banff, but wanted to avoid the touristy crowds in the Banff area. This place was perfect. I got the private 2-bedroom suite because I was traveling with my two young daughters. We arrived late, but had stopped at a grocery store en route. The kitchen was fully... More

Field is a small and nice village close to the Emerald lake and Takakkaw falls. We had a sweet in the hostel which was really nice,.. Clean, big enough for a big family (two separate rooms and a living room). They also offer free wifi

This is a hidden gem if you are visiting the Canadian Rockies. We booked the 2 bedroom suite for 5 people including 2 kids. The suite was very nice with a kitchen, the location is great. Craig was very helpful. Kids had a lot of fun. Breakfast at Truffle Pigs was great. It is just a 20 min drive Lake... More

We just stopped in for the night and it was so cute and homey. They had a really nice common area with books kitchen and fire place. The bathrooms were clean the rooms were clean as well. I would definitely recommend this place. Only down side of staying anywhere in Field is the train going through it is noisy.

Fireweed is an amazing spot to stay in Field. My friend and I rocked up on a cold night and were the only guests but we were welcomed and the fire had been set for us, ready to crank. Spotlessly clean, well equipped kitchen, cosy lounge, comfy beds and nice bathrooms. And its conveniently located just across from the pottery... More

I spent the summer of 2012 and 2013 working at the Fireweed Hostel and Mt. Stephen Guesthouse. While I never spent a night in either I can say both properties are absolutely beautiful and well kept. I really enjoyed my time working in Field. Field is a charming little mountain town perfectly situated to explore Banff, Yoho, and Kootenay National... More

The Fireweed Hostel was very clean and located centrally to many great sights. The hostel looks brand new and is extremely well maintained. It has quality facilities such as a large kitchen and common room with a fireplace (as well as central heating), it was definitely a cozy home away from home. The town of Field is small but charming,... More
