I didn't travel very far, just having come out from Calgary, but wanted to treat myself to a night away in order to go skiing. I figured on a day before Christmas, I'd still find something reasonable and not too crowded. Well, for $30 I booked a bed in a shared room, but it turns out that I was the... More

Stayed here as part of a group, two couples and we were`nt disappointed. The Hostel itself has a ground floor self catering two bedroom apartment which is separate from the rest of the facility which we stayed in. What more can I say than that. There is a BBQ and Fire pit in which to use. The place was clean... More

This small hostel is a definite step up from an inner-city hostel. It is cozy, with a great shared kitchen, clean facilities and mostly comfy beds. I personally loved watching the trains go by while eating breakfast on the balcony. Field is a tiny village, so pack accordingly, dress warmly for the mountains, and enjoy the view from the Fireweed.... More

The hotel is perfect to visit the Canadian Rockies. It is very close to Lake Louise and Yoho park. Field is a nice little town. The flat on the ground floor is great for a family and very clean. The garden has stunning views of the mountains. If you like trains, you'll be fascinated. The Field train station is litteraly... More

We stayed in this hostel during our three-week-trip in Canadian Rockies in October 2011. Originally we were going to tent in a nearby campsite but luckily it was closed so we were made to stay in this hostel! We were going to stay just for one night but Craig (the owner) made us a good deal on price so we... More

We stayed for just one night and it was great. The common room and the patio had a nice view, with minimal highway noise. The bathrooms were oddly planned (seperate for toilet and shower). The night life is nonexistant, the bar across the street closes at around 6pm. The fridge also had lots of condiments and the rooms were quiet... More

I made a last minute decision to drive through Revelstoke and continue up to Yoho National Park, and I'm glad that I did; scoring the last available bed in a 4 bed dorm. After I was given a tour of the hostel I immediately booked an second night. The kitchen / dining / lounge were all immaculate with modern amenities.... More

The hostel overall was very nice - really new interior which is being kept clean by staff and guests. The communal areas were spacious and fitted out with what you'd need for a stay. The bedrooms and bathrooms however seemed poorly thought out in terms of layout. We booked a "private" room on an external website, not directly through Fireweed,... More

Two friends and I stayed here in August and couldn't have been treated better. Craig is a great host and went out of his way to ensure that our stay was pleasant and comfortable, even moving our luggage, cooler and groceries himself (while we were out hiking) when we had to change locations at the hostel. The downstairs suite is... More

This hostel is fantastic. It is extremely clean and has the best kitchen I have ever seen in a hostel. Pros: The kitchen had everything. Even things like plastic wrap. The rooms are clean. The owner is very helpful. Location is good for Yoho park and also Lake Louise. Prices are good and dont require membership cards. You can bring... More
