We chose this lodge because from the website it seemed idyllic nestled amongst the mountains of the Yoho National Park. In fact there is only one place on the site from where you can see a mountain clearly. We had a so-called deluxe cabin but they had to take a chair out to get our luggage in and there was... More

We are indeed nestled in the mountains - Cathedral Mountain, Mount Stephen and Field Mountain surround us. That closeness is part of the unique beauty of the Rocky Mountains. We are sorry our management response regarding luggage space fell short of your expectations. It will be brought up with our team. Thank you for letting us know. More

This log cabin resort is in a beautiful location surrounded by mountains with a river flowing by. I stayed in a premium cabin which was 50 feet from the river. The cabin was clean and very authentic with a lovely log fire, small fridge, double bed downstairs and twin bed up stairs. There is a small living area with two... More

The location is wonderful and if you get a clear night, the stars are breathtaking, and in either case there's a wood burning fireplace. The staff are great to deal with and the breakfast has a wide range of delicious choices. The dinner is a bit over priced and suffers from the hotel dining room tendency to put too many... More

A stunningly placed property with thoughtful architecture and gorgeous scenery abounding. I think the person who spoke about the communication issues and having to walk back and forth in the rain checked in ahead of me. He was rude! There were umbrellas all over the property to borrow in case of rain, including in each room! Our duplex cabin was... More

If you want to avoid the crowds and the tour buses, this is the place for you. It is convenient to the most popular hiking trails. After a day of hiking and sightseeing, it is nice to come back to your cozy cabin and build a fire. We had two excellent meals at the restaurant. The staff were very accommodating... More

our cabin was a duplex, nice, fairly new, rustic in a good way, but a little small for my wife and l. main lodge was very nice , breakfasts were excellent. Overall we were happy and would stay there again, maybe in a larger cabin. Also, we arrived at night and had trouble seeing the path to our cabin and... More

By far one of the best places in the Field area. We arrived during a snow storm, settled into our adorable cabin and hunkered down in front of the fire. Great dinner, staff, piece and quiet, amenities

Such a comfortable, beautiful room! We loved our fire place and our walks along the river. The staff could be friendlier and breakfast was sadly a great let down: cold eggs every day is inexcusable and the buffet is rather limited not to mention the horrendously old and slow toasters.

The Lodges are beautiful, comfortable and cosy. The bed is large and very invitingly comfortable. The lodges are spread around a forested area which offers peace and quiet for the most part. Some however to the back of the area get quite close to the Canadian railway with its all night freight service! The property boasts that in keeping with... More

As others have suggested, this is a mixed bag. The setting is fantastic and our expectations were high - after all it is pricey. The cabin was comfortable and cosy and, ignoring the odd cobweb, well kept. Sleeping on the first night was difficult - the trains and road are quite noisy, but by the second we must have become...
