This was our third stay at Cathedral. As always, it was great! We had very cool weather so the fireplace in the lodge got a working when we got back after a long days hiking! Breakfast is the best we have had in the area. Great for getting energy before hiking. Right up the road from Takakkaw Falls. Our last... More

It's not cheap - you're paying a lot because they generate all electricity and filter the water on site - but it's really pretty. The hikes and scenery are gorgeous, there's some amazing rafting not far away, and the cabins are clean and nice.

After realizing our borrowed tent had no poles we took a chance that the lodge across from the Kicking Horse Campground had a room. Not only did they have a cabin available, it was gorgeous, spotless, romantic, and affordable! The staff were great, and the setting is amazing as well. A nice shower after a day of hiking and sight... More

We visited Cathedral Mountain Lodge four years ago, and were pleased to find the great food and service still there when we stayed five nights this July. The lodge's location is ideal, very close to the Canadian Rockies' best hiking including The Iceline Trail at Takakkaw Falls and Lake O'Hara in Yoho National Park. The individual cabins are not large,... More

Fantastic Stay! We were torn between staying at Moraine Lake Lodge and Cathedral. Glad we chose to stay here. Staff was wonderful and the food was great. Big shout out to Rebecca, Sven, Ben and Lindsay for all of their recommendations. I would've given them 5 stars if there were robes in the room (my only suggestion for improvement!). Otherwise... We enjoyed a perfect little getaway at Cathedral Mountain Lodge. It is set in the perfect setting slightly outside the town of Field. We stayed in a deluxe cabin and were impressed with the lovely Canadian decor, Aveda amenities, the cleanliness of the cabin and the lovely deck outside. The staff were friendly and wonderful (a lot of them have... More

I enjoyed my stay at CML: cabins were spacious and beautiful and the staff were helpful. My expectations were a bit more than they could deliver on, I guess - here follows a few of the things that prevented me from giving it a 'Good' or better: - staff did not seem to have adequate knowledge of the surrounding area's... We stayed in a deluxe cabin. It was very clean and cozy. There was a nice big tub and lots of hot water. Picnic basket, wine glasses and umbrellas in the room. Nice deck with adirondack chairs. We really enjoyed the stay. Free wifi was fairly good. The only negative was the complimentary breakfast. The hot food selections were empty... More

Initial looks from the main highway not the best but after our 2 night stay I would say stay here not in Lake Louise. Still only 15 minutes back but far better to be away from the crowds. Inclusive superb breakfast. Log fires and mountains to die for. Excellent access to Emerald lake, waterfalls and walks. Brilliant staff and quiet... More

my husband and I spent a week here and were thrilled we picked CML over the sister property at lake moraine. we booked a king cabin which was comfortable and nicely decorated. my only complaint: it's a little small. contrary to lauraultrarunner's assertion in a previous review, the cabins are cleaned daily and you are given new towels when you...
