We enjoyed 2 delightful days at this charming B & B. The room was very clean and spacious with a separate kitchen area, living room and bedroom. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our own meals with ease. Small back deck for us to enjoy a glass of wine or early morning coffee while looking up at outstanding Mt.... More

The suites are roomy, comfortable, have fully furnished kitchens and are very clean. We stayed in the Wilf Carter suite which has a separate bedroom. The garden and mountain views are spectacular. Randle (owner) and 'the kiwi nannies' (managers) are friendly and accommodating. The appliances, utilities and Wi-Fi function well. Bring your groceries since supplies are very limited in Field.

We arrived at Mt Burgess Guesthouse after a long day at lake louise. We had the last room available, which slept 6. the suite was clean and comfy and well stocked if you wanted to stay for a while, we only stayed overnight. They only accept cash, and there's not a lot of places to eat in field. the local... More

We have stayed at the Mt Burgess Guesthouse several times in the last couple of years. The suites are roomy and impeccably clean, and the kitchen is well supplied. The garden and views are spectacular, and Randle and 'the kiwi nannies' are very welcoming. Lots of great hiking nearby... Highly recommended!

Every guesthouse in Field has the impressive view of mountains and squeaky noise of railway. But this GH is spotless clean and quite inviting, kind of like grandma's cozy cottage feeling. The kitchen is very well stocked. Nice matching plates (unlike other places - a bunch of radom stuff). It has tea, coffee and a small bottle of extra virgin... More

Because of the reviews on Tripadvisor, we booked and stayed in this guesthouse for 4 nights. Even thought we found it espacious it doesn’t have many other things that in my opinion a guesthouse should have. The only good thing is that it’s big enough for two, I don’t know how big it would be for 4 people... I’m not... More

Stayed in the Wilf Carter Suite. Plenty of room!! Quiet. Everything was clean and comfortable. Kitchenette is well supplied. Will take a credit card as a deposit, but don't forget to bring cash or a cheque to actually pay for the room. Field is really close to the Natural Bridge, Emerald Lake and Takakkaw Falls (1,265 feet high). Mt. Burgess... More

We stayed at the Tom Wilson Suite... very nice large suite with full kitchen and living area..... the facility is slightly older... but it has its charm .... the bed room can use a thicker curtain as street light was very powerful.... the place is reasonably priced ($120/night actual vs $110 on website) in September. The 3 Pigs grocery store/bistro... More

My wife and I stayed at the Mt Burgess Guesthouse for two nights in September 2006. We had hoped to stay at Lake Louise but weren't happy to pay the price of the accommodation there. After a bit of searching, we found that the small town of Field has a number of guesthouses. Field is located about a 20 minute... More
