You wont be able to find anywhere less expensive in this area, with the exception of a hostel . It is an interesting stay. It was clean but with some hilarity. The sheets were too large for the twin beds in our room. Our room had a balcony but it was a nice home for the birds so it was... more

On our way through the mountains and drawn in by the "ROOMS FROM $59" sign. Paid a little more than that for a room with 2 beds and a balcony overlooking the adjacent lake (AND THE #1 HIGHWAY UNFORTUNATELY)! Room was clean, free high-speed internet was an unexpected bonus considering the location. While the hotel seems clean enough, it's in... more

We stayed 4 nights wanting take in some of the local sights and do a little exploring in the area. Having 2 children and a modest budget, we needed a place large enough to accommodate our family that was also affordable. A room with a double bed with two singles was within our budget. The room, and the lodge, was... more

This place is terrible. The room was dirty, the bathroom was disgusting, and the fixtures in the bath not working properly. We were tired from a long backpack trip and decided to "treat" ourselves to a hotel night and didn't have the energy to drive any farther, so we got a room for the night at West Louise. What a... more

Do yourself and your family a favour and don't even think about staying here! If you do, you will find out how dirty, dingy and delapidated this hotel is. The pool had water, but I wouldn't swim in it - as a matter of fact, the tub in the bathroom had not been cleaned in who knows when and wasn't... more

They had places to rent at peak season, but they don't have internet, no phones, and at times there was no cell connection.... it's dumpy, but for the relatively low price, it was expected and suitable, since it's just a place to crash till morning. Also, it is just inside the BC border so you get stuck with the BC... more

We had recently completed a stay at Moraine Lake Lodge, then stayed a while in Banff and then moved on to other accommodation in the Rockies. Well, that last accommodation was an absolute disaster and whilst we booked it for 4 nights, we ended up staying only 2. After the first night we searched for accommodation all of which was... more

Walked in last minute and got a room for $125cdn a night, thought it was good considering it was in the middle of peak season labor day long weekend. The room reminded of the ones you see in the tv show "My Name is Earl" the place is minimally kept, all patch works and band-aid fixes. Lights flicker, water sputters.... more

We booked a suite with two queen beds. The room layout was good with the beds in a loft upstairs - Allowed us to put the kids to bed and still have an evening. The carpets were old and dirty. The window screen was taped to keep out the bugs. The fireplace was out of order. The room had no... more

We have stayed at West Louise Lodge one night a year for over 20 years on the way into the park. The price is very modest for the area, and nobody should expect upscale acommodations. But... it is sad to watch the level to which it has declined. No longer well prepared meals. Dinner is limited. Breakfast is down to... more
