We stayed here because we were coming from Banff on our way to Jasper, the location was perfect. However the room is very small, wifi does not work, bathroom is tiny, bed isn't comfortable and there's no mirror or coffee maker. If youre coming from the US this room is probably worse than a 59.99 motel6. We played $160 for... More

A fantastic choice for budget travellers; clean, low-key lodge and good restaurant at quite a discount to Lake Louise offerings, just 10 mins from Lake Louise We stumbled on this place using a Google Maps search for lodging near Lake Louise, and booked one night by phone (the online system showed no availability). Then, after more planning and even afer finding some negative reviews on Tripadvisor, we booked a... More

We stayed for 6 nights and enjoyed the place very much. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was a reasonable size with a comfortable bed. Breakfast had 3 different cereals, toast, juice, and some fruit. Very slow Wi-Fi but you can get your email. The mountain view room has a great view. But you can hear the... More

We'll come back next time! Their location is quite convenient. 15 min away from the town of lake lousie and the town of Field. Agreed with some other reviews that it's not fairmont but it got everything we need! Free breakfast, free wifi, a comfy bed, a very clean room and bathroom with all basic supplies. The people worked in... More

Having stayed the previous night in a really excellent hotel for the same price, TGDL was disappointing. The room was tiny, extras minimal, the buzz of a generator was constant, and the restaurant was a little pricy. On the other hand, the staff was friendly enough, and compared to the other available places in the area, the room was cheap.

We stayed here for 4 nights in a room with a king sized bed, balcony and bathroom. I was actually very reluctant after reading all the reviews from people on trip advisor about how awful the lodge was. I actually think the place was really great and people just expect way to much for paying such a small amount of... More

Great location. Good service. Decent room. We found it a bit noisy at night due to the bar downstairs. I would stay here again. For its location, this hotel could be easily be converted into a luxury/pricey one with some renovation but glad the owner doesn't seem to want to do it.

We stayed here and got a deal including ski passes. We moved rooms from the adjacent building to the main building to avoid parties. Both buildings are fairly old but seem to be well maintained and being renovated. Both rooms were clean, however there was a lot of stray hairs to be found. The beds were comfortable. Made the huge... More

Our rate was $160 for the night, which was a complete waste of money. The room was tiny and extremely hot. We could not turn down the heat in the room, and our window was frozen shut and covered by a huge block of ice so we couldn't open it to cool the place down. We told the front desk... More

Excellent value for a ski trip with your buddies. Referring to the $69 deal, thats a nights accommodation AND a lift ticket - where else can beat this? Even buying a lift ticket at the ski hill would be more than $69! Of course with this kind of price you should not expect the Chateau Lake Louise level of quality.... More
