Stayed at The Mount Peyton one night to avoid a sizable snow storm. Unfortunately the hotel was occupied 4 pee wee hockey teams. Despite attempts by hotel staff the children ran amok through out the hotel. In fact several children had a net setup in the hallway outside our room, playing a makeshift game of hall hockey. If myself and... More

What a piece. I strayed from the Robin Hood Inn......bad move. I was fooled by the reviews.....not a 3 star...not a 1 star. Beds rock hard, bathroom......more like a closet.....really small. Oh well, only one night.

The hotel and motel are both almost empty! Call the hotel direct 709-489-2251, about $111 and save about $20.00 from internet rates! Seems perfectly fine for the night. Bar opens at 8:00! Close to Twillingate, two restaurants seem good.

There's not a lot to say about Mount Peyton. The staff were good. The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. Aside from the outdated decor, and the shabby (but clean!) bathroom, the only problem I had was hearing every sound from the hallway. The room doors made a lot of noise when closing, and other people closing theirs... More

We regularly stay here due to appointments and the pet friendly rooms. For what one pays the hotel needs serious renovations. It would be better used if some upgrading and a facelift were to happen. Staff as always are great.

Stayed at this hotel again. The hotel staff- front desk, dining room, and cleaning personnel- are nothing short of great. For the prices charged this hotel really needs to update its decor both inside and out.

Stayed because they are pet friendly...but would not stay there again. $131 for the motel per night for a bathroom with no working fan, rooms floors were not vacuumed and bed sheets with rips and not so clean smell.

My son's baseball team stayed at this hotel in September 2013. While this hotel was adequate for our purposes, the hotel is in need of some serious upgrades to all rooms in the way of decor and soundproofing. The rooms were clean enough despite the age. Housekeeping staff were very friendly and met all of our requests. Would not be... More

Stayed here in September 2013. My room was a little outdated. My friends had a better, updated room. The air conditioning unit was not working in my room and it was too warm. Ate breakfast in the restaurant which was OK. Not a fantastic place to stay, but not the worst either.

We stayed in the motel rooms across the highway from the main hotel. There was nothing particularly wrong with them, other than the smell (highly toxic cleaning products, perhaps?), but they were dingy and depressing. $45 rooms for $90. The front desk people were super-friendly though.
