I stayed here one evening while on business travel. Arrived late and no one was there to check me in. However, a room key with my name was left for me, so I was able to enter my room. Room furnishings are basic but clean. Good location and walking distance to many attractions in the area. Check out was a... More

This is the second time I have stayed at The Rum Runner Inn (summer and winter) and, both times it has been an enjoyable experience. The staff is friendly, helpful and patient. The rooms are clean, quiet and spacious. The view of the harbour is magnificent. If you are looking for an above average place to stay within a budget,... More

The Rum Runner is in a perfect location to tour Lunenburg. Our room was very clean but rather small and directly behind the office which was a bit disappointing. This was the last night of our vacation of nearly 2 weeks,so we went basic. I would recommend upgrading to a room with a view and a balcony. Parking is a... More

We travel without needing fancy extras such as pools, weight rooms, saunas ,fancy foyers etc etc only looking for friendly staff ,great location ,clean and well maintained facilities . This place fitted our style exactly. Right on the water offering amazing harbour views and our own balcony (room 5) to enjoy morning coffee while watching the sunrise . The owners... More

Nice clean modern accommodations in a century's old building and town, Tim the owner is very accommodating as were all the staff,,the rooms are very bright, clean and comfortable. Sitting just above the harbour and across the road from the Atlantic Maritime Museum there is plenty to see in this Historical and beautiful little town

We stayed here for an overnight. The owner, Tim, was exceptional. He was very accommodating and friendly. Our room had a view of the harbour and a cute little porch which was a great place for croissants and coffee in the morning. The room was clean and comfortable. We will definitely be seeing you and Buddy again soon :)

So, here we are in the fantastic historic town of Lunenburg Nova Scotia. We check into the hotel, and are greeted by the new owner "Tim". He is welcoming, and extremely accommodating. We are shown to own room which had a fantastic view of the water. After spending the afternoon exploring all Lunenburg had to offer, we opted to eat... More

The inn itself is very, very old in a very old UNESCO-designated World Heritage site and, as such, cannot be compared to modern accommodations. Rumrunner Inn is charming in a very old-world way. Very narrow staircases lead to second floor (no elevator, of course). Accessing the on-site restaurant from inside the inn requires navigating another narrow winding staircase. There is... More

Not wheelchair friendly inside. There is parking on the street for a few cars. Accommodations are tired and there are no common areas. It seemed more like a B&B. However, the view makes it a good option.

Thank you very much for your recent comment. I am really sorry that we could not meet your expectations. We are certainly wheelchair friendly up to a certain level. Guests with some disabilities are very happy to stay at our inn because there are only 2 steps involved to get in to the hotel. Our bathrooms are not made to... More
