This is a recently remodeled small hotel--very clean, great decor, and a great location, right on Main Street. It was still quiet and cozy. Right next door is a terrific restaurant with a new chef. It's called the Scuttlebutt. Great Canadian food....also lovely decor. Across the street is the wharf and lots of boutique shops, wonderful used bookstores, and great... More

Stayed here for just three nights and out of all the hotels in Lunenburg, this was an excellent choice. Friendly and very helpful staff and owner. My next visit to Lunenburg, be it short or long will certainly include this hotel.

The room was very pleasant, as was the view (appropriately, over the cove to the golf course) though it was partly concealed by the curtains, even when fully open. Staff charming, minifridge noisy as usual (so as usual we turned it off). Excellent location

The is a quaint older hotel. It has an interesting layout with 6 to 8 rooms located around a group seating area on each floor (3 floor hotel). The hotel is well cared for and very clean. You have to park on the street, but if you pick a side street you don't have to pay for parking. Front desk... More

Courteous staff. Exceptionally spacious and clean room. King size bed was a dream come true. Free wifi was pretty speedy. And it had a great view from the window. The hotel was located in the heart of the old town which made visiting places quick and easy. Very limited parking. I ended up parking on the street which is metered... More

The room was somewhat all right. The water view is laughable. Housekeeping staff were fantastic. Front desk, which we later found out was the manager, was less than pleasant. There were a lot of excuses and not much for resolutions. Overall, I would not recommend. Go elsewhere.

Great location. Clean rooms and wonderful staff. The decor is a little mish mash but I do enjoy clean over matching the paint to the bed sheets. Stayed in the summer and being able to be within walking distance was a big bonus.

You can't beat the location here - within walking distance of all the historic attractions of Lunenburg and just a tiny block away from the water. But that location also provides many of the downsides to this inn, as it is in a protected heritage zone. Parking is on the street - I was lucky both nights I was there,... More

You can't fault the location of the hotel being right in the centre of Lunenburg one street over from the harbour or its claim of sea views. However, I was expecting a little more charm in a historic inn in an historic town. Although very clean and tidy, we could have been in any one of a thousand hotel rooms... More

Hello and thank you for your comments. We really appreciate your review. We are very sorry that you expected a Historic Inn which we are not. Our building is only 60-65 years old. Best Regards, Eva Ziegler More

This is a very nice place to stay in Lunenburg. It is well located and near many shops and restaurants. We were able to walk all over the town from the inn. Five family members stayed there in three different rooms. All the rooms were spacious. I loved the fact that it is not all new and modern but has... More
