I was visiting Halifax and Lunenburg for business. Typically I stay at the large corporate hotels but our business function was at the Bluenose Lodge so I stayed there. When I arrived I noticed the Lodge was beautiful and well kept. It was built in 1890s I believe, so it has lots of character, the rooms are plenty large, the... More

1850-ish Mansion with a delightful hostess. Very clean. Nicely decorated. Quiet night. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Easy walk to the boardwalk, away from the hubbub. Great (quiet) restaurant on the first floor serves breakfast, lunch, dinner. White table clothes, candles, windows abound. You will love your stay here.

We spent our final night in Nova Scotia in charming Lunenburg, and this B&B is everything we expected from this wonderful, historical town. The staff are accommodating, and let us check in early as soon as the room had been cleaned. That was welcome after a 7 day road trip around the province, and a long flight ahead of us... More

Andrea was a formidable host and so welcoming. Allowed us to change rooms upon our arrival for a sunnier, cosier room. Most helpful and assured us a comfortable stay. However, I was sharing with a friend and we we're put off from the sink in the room ( no privacy) and the smallness of the bathroom. The sink was so... More

I would recommend this hotel to anyone! Very comfortable, clean and spacious. Would be the first place I would stay when I return!! The hole family loved it. Great rates and in a close location to the wharf and other amenities. There is also a great restaurant right in the hotel.

Bluenose Lodge was a great place to stay. We needed last minute accommodations after changing our vacation plans in Nova Scotia, and we were lucky to get a room at the Bluenose. We arrived earlier than check-in, but they had our room ready and let us check-in 2 hours early instead of leaving luggage in our car. The rooms themselves... More

I and some friends stayed for one night and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Arriving quite late in the afternoon and with no notice,Andrea(the owner) was very accommodating and not only organised us rooms, but also a very reasonable price for our stay. The rooms were cosy and furnished with various items of old furniture and rugs adding to the character and... More

We stayed for two nights, and were quite taken by the old world charm of the house. Andrea, the Innkeeper was wonderful, and gave us some great clues at to some sights to see while in the Lunenburg area. The only downside was that because of the age of the place, there was a small bathroom, no A/C and the... More

I love staying in historic properties, and I really loved staying here! The owner has done a fabulous job of keeping the old fashioned feel of the place but updating with modern amenities. We spent the first night in the family suite (in the carriage house) but moved to the lower level of the Carriage house to the Efficiency Suite... More

What a find! We stayed in the carriage house and had a great time. The food is great and everyone was sooooo nice. The town is beautiful and the little golf course was really fun. A great place to wander around.
