you know that 'welcoming' feeling you get at many of the great B&Bs in the Maritimes? Well, we sure didn't get it here. The owners started out with a phone call to us saying we were 'running late'. (It was before 6 PM). So, we left what we were doing, and rushed there, as there was a shortage of accommodations... More

I recently stayed here while on a mini getaway with my sister. We stayed in the Tamarack Room and everything was lovely. The beds were VERY comfortable (think they must have been memory foam) and the rooms themselves had good sound proofing and even though we faced the "main road" and had the windows open, it was very quiet. The... More

We had a great stay at Alicion. A lot of great recommendations for local attractions and sites (Stonehurst, Blue Rocks, etc...). The owners were very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. The room was huge and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend this B&B.

In case you haven't read enough glowing reviews of this place, here is my first 5-star score. Historic home, impeccable rooms, lovely breakfasts, charming hosts. All that is missing is a live quartet to accompany breakfast, but recorded opera will have to suffice.

This is beautiful bed and breakfast. The hosts were charming, the rooms were very well decorated and comfortable (we had the Dragonfly room), the the breakfast was excellent. This Inn fits in very well with the charm and beauty of Lunenburg.

Engaging hosts and great breakfasts in a lovely historic house. The perfect combination for a great stay. A short walk into lunenburg and Lorne was spot on with his recommendations of where to eat. Thoroughly recommended

We arrived road weary and were greeted by a warm smile and friendly countenance. Our room was nicely appointed and very comfortable. It was nice that the inn was outside the immediate downtown activity yet a simple and pretty walk away. As an added plus, when they could not accommodate our need for a second night, they made a recommendation... More

We had a fantastic time! The couple is so personable and made a lovely breakfast that all the couples visiting enjoyed. They even showed us their project carriage house, aka the garage, where they made it into a stunning guest house/apartment with very cute details. Each room had a beautiful theme to it and we stayed in the periwinkle room.... More

stayed in the dragon fly room , very large, windows on 2 sides allowed excellent air flow, almost too much at one point as the wind picked up! Dragon Fly was a great room in a great old house. bed was right as we both slept well for 2 nights. it was suggested we have breakfast at 8:30 which was... More

Overall, this is a lovely place to spend a couple of days. We liked that it was not in the heart of the Lunenburg town center but just a short walk away. The room was very comfortable and nicely furnished. There are ample places to sit both downstairs and on the outdoor porch. We did have some misgivings about the... More

Dear FSUSoc, Thank you for the complimentary remarks regarding our little business. We are certainly happy when guests appreciate our location, ambiance and enjoy our veranda. Your remark regarding the ferry is a little confusing. I recall happily making you breakfast earlier than the regular start time out of consideration for your time concerns. Additionally I described the quickest route... More
