We stayed at the stanford for 6 days in one of the condos. Our 1 bed condo was approx 150metres from the main part of the hotel. There was laundry facilities, a closet for storage, small kitchen, a full dining table, small seating area and the bedroom was a open loft above and had its own TV. Staff were helpful... more

Just returned from 10 day trip to Fernie, staying at the Stanford. Service from staff was excellent who were all very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and functional if lacking in a bit of storage space for all the ski gear (particularly when wet!). Room service slightly ad hoc and room wasn't serviced every day. Really convenient for the... more

This is the second year that we have taken our staff for a two day ski escape. The entire crew (about a dozen) can all stay in one unit with a huge dinner table, a couple of tv's, a jetted tub, and, if you can dig it out, a barbecue on the deck. The kitchen is big enough and always... more

Came from the UK and stayed in this hotel from 9th-16th of January. Fantastic facilities and a very clean confortable room. The two Hot Tubs were a relaxing welcome after a days hard skiing. Loads of Champagne Powder snow with a 27cm fall over one night . The staff were very helpful and very friendly.I would stay here again, the... more

A group of "Wild Hogs on Snow" took last weekend to revitalize. We spent 2 days on the Fernie ski hill getting sore and 2 nights at the Stanford hotel. Good value and although not fine dining it was the kind of comfort food we needed. more

Unfortunately, unlike the previous reviewer, we were caught up in the mayhem caused by the 400 college students. I have to say we have never had an experience like it. For 3 days and nights, including New Years Eve, it was like being in the middle of a riot. After the first night, when they were roaming the hotel, screaming,... more

My family just returned from a horrible 2 nights at the Stanford Inn in Fernie BC (was to be 3 nights). My parents were visiting us in Calgary from Toronto to spend some time after Christmas with my wife and our 2 young sons. We had booked a 3 bedroom chalet at the Stanford for 3 nights months ago. We... more

We stayed 3 nights at the Stanford Inn Fernie in June 2007. Fantastic value- our room with 2 queen beds was $69. Very clean facilities, friendly smiling staff and a wonderful swimming pool with huge waterslide - the kids loved it! The Continental breakfast was a bonus - served until 10am, great for families not wanting to get up too... more

Stayed in the large chalet with several kids and a fine time was had by all. The slide is great fun for the kids and the off season provides some great deals. We come up from Montana and stay here 4-6 times per year Winter and Summer. The Police in Fernie are the only drawback to the town. Maybe they... more
