Jumped in the car and went to Ottawa and found the hotels crazy priced and nothing available downtown - Found this hotel just over the border in Quebec, we loved it! Large clean rooms, great food and entertainment within walking distance. The only down part was the street had a lot of garbage stacked on the curb... not a good... more

We stayed two nights in this faded 1980's monolith. However the view from our 12th floor room over the river and park was fantastic. The swimming pool was very well managed with a real trained lifeguard present at all times and good safety notices in place - a rarity in most hotels. The sauna cabin needed replacing but it worked... more

We had our wedding and ceremony at this hotel and everything was perfect. Alain Charest and his team of professionals looked after every detail, served perfect food and were attentive to our needs beyond our expectations. The girls stayed in a suite the night before and my bride and I stayed in the same suite on the night of...what can... more

My wife and daughter stayed there this past weekend, and what a horrible experience. The a/c failed due to a power failure sometime saturday morning, so the entire hotel was one giant sauna. The staff kept saying it was going to be up and running in no time, but as far as I could tell it only started to cool... more

We stayed for an event that was taking place and we were less than impressed. Here is an abbreviated rundown of the problems: 1) the staff is unprofessional AND cannot speak english. 2) the entire time we were there (including the banquet) the A/C was not working. It thundershowered the whole time, so the place was hot, smelly, damp and... more

Spent 2 nights there this weekend. This place is old and it's starting to show. The all brown and beige washrooms, the bare thread towels, the brown wall paneling in the rooms... It is kind of depressing and stuffy. We even had a 4" x 4" patch of duct tape on the bath wall instead of ceramic! The hotel staff... more

3.5 STARS First off, it is a little better than average. The lobby of the hotel is quite dark and very representative of it's heyday (probably late 70's early 80's--when dark brown was a popular color). It is an atrium-style lobby so there is a lot of natural light. Service at check in and check out was pleasant and I... more

We stayed at this hotel during the Christmas Season while visiting family in Ottawa. The hotel is nice enough, with clean rooms, but needs some updating with their decor. The hotel is a little off the beaten path, in winter and during the holiday season, it's hard to find local shopping and restaurants within walking distance. We had to take... more

We where in the Ottawa for a family visit. Teh hotel is outdated, smelly and the cleaniss of the room was less then acceptable. I was told that the hotel was the official hotel of a sports event taking palce the same weekend that we where there (a boxing event), they hotel did not mention this to us at the... more

We just came back from a trip and we stayed at this hotel for one night. We had a room on the third floor. We found the hotel and the rooms to be nice and clean. We did not find the hotel or the room to be tired at all. I'm sensitive to smoke smell and did not smell any... more
