I recently stayed at this hotel with my family and we were very pleased! The beds were extremely comfortable, the food at "Aalto's" was great, and the pool area/water slide was SO SO fun. We had a wedding the night of our stay, so they allowed us a later checkout time! I would definitely recommend this hotel and will for... More

This hotel is one made for the cliche you cannot tell a book by its cover. On the outside, it is part of a Mall and quite ordinary looking but once inside, it is quite lovely with a great decor, lots of rich woodwork, beautiful light fixtures and plants! We stayed the night of June 26 and had a wonderful... More

An ok stay, beds are nice, flatscreen tv. Mini fridge, microwave (not mentioned on the amenities liston the website), coffee maker in room. Mostly clean, had someones hairs left behind in the shower when we arrived. Pool area is nice, waterslide and toddler pool, kids just loved these features. All round an ok place to stay for a couple nights.... More

Thank you for you kind words on your stay with us. I will pass along your message about the restaurant. Although we use a number of tools to help us with staffing levels some times it just does not work out and the unexpected happens. More

Monday's are Wing Night in the Playmaker's lounge at the CanadInn in Portage. Our service was great, waitress was very punctual, friendly and outgoing. We dropped in for 'dinner' as it was advertised as 'wing night'. .39$ per wing. Wings were great, service very good. Lounge is very much a video-lottery center now, but that seems to be keeping business... More

Our king suite was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Our teenagers loved the pool and water slide. The fitness room is large and has plenty of equipment. Breakfast in the restaurant was decent and service was good. The rustic decor is cute and with a little touch up, this hotel could be quite charming, but it falls just... More

My family stayed in this hotel the past weekend. Rooms were small on the West side with dirty carpets. When we pulled off the covers on one of the beds there were crackers on the bed and a blood stain and crackers under the mattress. We called the night manager at which point he said "well this is weird" and... More

While Portage la Prairie may not be a huge tourist spot, travellers on the TransCanada highway to Winnipeg sometimes find the road closed overnight there. This hotel is clean, comfortable, has a decent restaurant, plus pool with mini water slide, and is cheap - about $115 for a small suite. For those who care about such things, it is the... More

Had a great experience here! Beds comfy. Good Breakfast. Was not too loud. Very clean and staff are friendly. Would stay here again. Its nice that Wal-Mart is right across the road and Canadian Tire is close by as well.

Our hockey team had stayed in this hotel upon checking in our room smelt musty, moldy, dirty, and the shower had mild on ceiling. I went over to Canadian tire and bought antibacterial frebeeze an some air freshener. Manager told us we were out I luck. Upon checking out we only got a $30 dollars refund. That was just enough... Paid $81.59 to check-in, leave for family event only to return 6 hrs later and see the filthy, seriously outdated room and request a refund. Barking dogs, dirty elevator, filthy hallways, dirty room, and indifferent staff. $81.59 for 10 min in the hotel. NEVER AGAIN.
