When we arrived at the motel we were given a room next to a maintenance room. Around 25 minutes into settling in there was a horrible grinding noise from next door that lasted for at least 2 hours. The beds were not new by any means and they were the most uncomfortable we have ever slept on. The worst part... More

I made a reservation two weeks in advance. I was quoted a senior's rate for my husband & I - upon our arrival we were charged more because there were two of us!! It wasn't until my husband went back to get towels (there were none in the room!) that he mentioned they would be getting a bad review that... More

I clearly remember booking a room in this motel when I travelled alone to Portage La Prairie for a short weekend break from work, May 2012. The room had a queen size bed which was really comfortable. You get a wall mounted HDTV, mini fridge, coffee maker with mugs and coffee included. I also had a desk in my room.... More

I stayed here a few days ago and was not overly impressed. While the owner was very nice and the room was very clean they were the only two positives of staying there. After tax the room cost was $169. We were the only ones there and we were placed not in a room facing into the central parking area... More

I just called the motel to get a quote for a room. The woman who answered was completely rude and arrogant. I had asked her to repeat the number she quoted (she had a small accent) and she went and SHOUTED the number back to me. When I asked her why she shouted she replied with, "because you obviously can't... More

This is a small motel on the main street of Portage, right by the Boston Pizza. Originally we had Room #1 however it is 33 degrees out and the air wasn't working to it's full potential so we were moved to Room #12 which is the picture you see. It has two queen beds and is a non-smoking room. The... More

Super expensive for what you get. The beds are indeed nice but the shower is TERRIBLE and there was a lot of traffic noise even with the window shut. Not worth the $100 in any stretch of the imagination.

Your beds were the most comfortable - better than at home. The freshness of both the room and the linens reminded us of home. In other words; "You made us feel at home."

Really pricy for what you get, I paid 100 and I think I got ripped off. Also, I couldn't sleep as the walls are in paper and I could here the room next door watching tv until 4 in the morning

Myself and four friends stayed at the Hi-Way Motel in Portage la Prairie for one night when we were stranded there by some nasty weather. The sign out front advertises amenities like "brand new rooms", "clean", "state of the art", etc. All of these claims are lies! We were told upon checking in that we would have a room with... More
