We stayed due to bad roads while travelling, and it was quite disappointing. The front desk manager barely even acknowledged my wife when she walked in, and wasn't very friendly during our stay. The rooms were decent, but really only average hotel rooms. There was a cold draft that came in from the wall A/C unit. On the plus side,... More

If you find yourself having to spend a night in Quesnel, the Sandman will do the trick. The rooms are nothing special, but they are warm and clean. With two restaurants attached to the hotel (Shark Club & Dennys) you can get a bite to eat, guests at the hotel get a bit of a discount and the food is... More

This property stores the kettle under the sink beside the garbage can. I find this quite disgusting. In the bathroom, the towel rack partially blocks the sink. Otherwise unit clean. I enjoy a cup of tea in the evening so I'll look for another Quesnel hotel.

Just recently stayed here for three nights as I had to work in the area. Front desk staff was very friendly and room service from the Denny's restaurant was excellent service and quality. As other people have noted the rooms are starting to show their age and are probably due for a refresh. I got one of the rooms with... More

I have stayed here often when in Quesnel, as it is convenient & well serviced (Denny's & Shark Club). It is well maintained, but a little noisy as it is right on the highway - there are places in town, but they are a little run down. Get a room on the backside to avoid road noise, though it is... Quesnel was a place we visited because of family connections, and the Sandman Hotel we checked into was superb. We were greeted by the manager who was pleased to place us in a rear suite, away from the road. But views were very good from it. It was well equipped and bed was very comfortable. Linked on to the hotel... More

From the outside and lobby it looks pretty good but the rooms need some attention. My room had a rusty sink and tap, the bath drain plug was broken, the old style velour style bed blanket had holes and the windows and bath had mold. Pretty sure nothings been updated in the rooms since the hotel opened. The service and... More

Outside of the Hotel looked nice. Room had an odd layout not very functional. Bed was uncomfortable. Bathtub was dirty and so was the bathroom and fridge. Noise nextdoor and highway was loud and honestly for the stupid price of this place I would rather get a small ma and pop motel next time. Wifi was impossible to use, waist... More

This was our hotel for the overnight stop on the rocky mountaineer rainforest to goldrush route. The RM staff did a good job of having all the room keys sorted for when we arrived. The hotel was very dated and could do with a lick of paint and new carpets. There is a Denny's and a sports bar inside the... More

First of all I was on hold for 10-15 minutes to make a reservation. Hotel staff friendly. Hotel showing signs of wear. Cracked tile in main hallway. Pool and exercise room closed, looks like for a long time. Carpet in room stained, lots of dings in the walls. Bathroom a little dirty. No fridge. Two beds in room but double... More
