My family was stranded in Radium on our way to Lake Louise (long story) and the staff was extremely accommodating. The motel is very reasonably priced and is impeccably clean! It's an adorable place and I highly recommended it. They saved our hides!

Enjoyed another stay at The Gateway Motel! Super, super clean, comfortable rooms, balcony & sitting areas with amazing flowers & beautiful valley views. Owned & operated by an extemely hospitable family whose hard work is very evident. The BBQ, fire pit & outdoor eating area is fantastic. Fabulous to have Hot Springs passes & pool towels included. No need to... More

Stayed one night on a trip into the U.S. Not the largest hotel room I have ever had but certainly the cleanest. Spiock and span - as the matter of fact I looked hard to see something out of place and couldn't do it. The hotel is very close to groercies and restaurants so ideal location.

My husband, dtr, and I stayed at this Motel while traveling through towards Montana. We stayed in rm 10 on the second floor front street facing Motel. The room was very clean, air conditioning worked well and there was pretty well none to no noise from the street. We had a very nice comfortable stay. We would definitely stay at... More

I recently traveled to Canada with 3 teenagers, and at the last minute had a change in plans requiring me to find suitable lodging in Radium Hot Springs BC. After researching the reviews on tripadvisor, I decided to book at the Gateway Motel. When I called to book a room, the woman who took my call was so friendly and... More

Went to Wasa originally but the campgrounds were full. So we came back to Radium in hopes of a nice motel. This place was even greater than we expected. Second floor room, great price, nice layout and decorating. Such a welcome atmosphere. Clean and had just what we needed. Not tacky at all. And the lady who checked us in... More

Very clean, well lit, friendly and helpful staff, free vouchers for the hot pools, towels to take to the hot pools, coffee, comfy bed, great location and a great price. What more could you ask? If we're ever back in this area again it's the Gateway for us!

We were just heading to the parks and decided to overnight in Radium Hot Springs. Without a reservation, we simply cruised the main drags and looked for something with a little personality, affordable and clean. The multitude of hanging flower baskets and potential view of the Gateway Motel caught our eye. The room was everything we needed and the balcony... More

Just spent the Sat./Sun. at this hotel. We arrived after driving from Victoria. The first staff we met was Corinne, who runs the property with her family. This has been a family business for 17 years! Really nice outside, lots of flowers and very clean. As we requested, we had an upstairs room. Room was sort of small, but very... More

Rooms are really clean and up to date, wifi was decently fast. Fire pit and BBQ access at night was awesome and they had wood there for us to burn. The view was nice as well. Beds were comfy, and coffee maker in the room.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Gateway Motel has been owned and operated by the Weder Family since 1995. This small 15 unit motel is run with a traditional Swiss charm and atmosphere. It is set in the picturesque town of Radium Hot Springs where the flowers and the scenery are as plentiful as the big horn sheep that call it home. The Gateway Motel is located on Highway 93, just a short 5 minutes from the entrance of Kootenay National Park and it's world famous Natural Hot Springs. With spectacular mountain views overlooking the Columbia Valley, an afternoon can easily slip away relaxing in the afternoon sun. We take pride in providing reasonably priced accomodation, exceptionally clean rooms and superior guest service in English and German. So, why not spend some time in Radium Hot Springs and discover why we love to call this place home. ... more   less
