I had a three night stay with my family, and the nice couple that run the hotel were very accommodating and work very hard to keep all the guests happy. The rooms are extremely clean, and always serviced when we returned. A delicious hot breakfast is served each morning and also gives the feeling of a home cooked meal. (great... More

My travel experience ranges from hostels to five stars and even hunkering down in the pay by the hour establishments when necessity dictates. This chalet is very clean and the owners (a young family) seem very eager to please guests. The views afforded of the valley are lovely and unobstructed by crowding. The air-conditioning was great on hot days, but... More

When we phoned about room rates and questions, we got two different answers. When we arrived, they had to get tables and lamps out of a different room. Breakfast was not what was advertised on their website, instead, it looked like their leftovers from supper the night before. A little perplexing! Other then that, the hotel it's self has a... More

This hotel is clean, welcoming and all over gorgeous. Such a great character hotel. And the staff makes you feel as if you're visiting an old friend. We will be coming here again and again! Thank you for the amazing time and DELICIOUS breakfast.

I've stayed the long weekend at this hotel with my family and no regret. Rooms are clean, neat, not new though but they have a spectacular view from the deck. Our room has a mini fridge, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. As the hotel is located at the top (almost) of the hill, needless to say that it makes perfect... More

We enjoyed our 4 day stay in the Kootenay Suite. The accommodations were clean although they could use some fixing up (peeling paint on baseboards, ripped wallpaper, etc.) although nothing that we couldn't live with. We liked the separate bedroom and the couch (which was a pullout bed) in the living room area. Breakfast started at 9:00 a.m. which we... More

We stayed at this hotel just by chance on our way through radium, and were pleasantly surprised. The views were far better than I imagined and the couple running the hotel give it the warm, homey, welcoming feeling. Though they do need some upgrades in technology, it is not why you should stay here. Stay for the amazing views, great... More

We had a great weekend in Radium. The hotel is situated high so you have a great view of radium town and the mountains. Our room was a suite with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and living room. The living room had a sofa (also a pull out bed) a little table, cable tv and a fireplace plus a balcony with... More

We stayed at the Chalet Europe for a 3day stay and had an amazing stay. The hotel itself as well as the room were extremely clean, had a warm, friendly atmosphere and breathtaking views over the valley. The staff were fantastic and very informative, the owner was also present and very friendly. We were also able to bring our dog... More

The hotel itself is great. The experience we had was very unfavorable. There is a small yearling bear visiting this hotel on a nightly basis. It is looking for food and seems to be finding it. I don't necessarily think the owner is feeding the bear but he is taking 0 precautions to keep the bear from coming. In the... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Chalet Europe hotel is a wonderful romantic boutique hotel situated on the side of a mountain about 1000 above the village of Radium Hot Springs. We guarantee the view from your private viewing deck will be one of the most spectacular you have ever had in your life! All rooms have fantastic views but the rooms on the top floor and end units have the best. The suites have galley kitchens and fireplaces and are inviting and cozy. Because we back on to the Kootenay National Park it is common for deer and bighorn sheep to be seen grazing on the lawn of the hotel. It is a very peaceful and quite location far above the traffic noise of the valley below. A substantial complementary breakfast is served daily by a staff which prides itself on being warm and friendly. Please check us out we will do our very best to ensure you have a wonderful stay in our hotel. Chris and Liliana Wright, Owners, Chalet Europe ... more   less
