The staff is great. The atmosphere is very relaxed. The views are georgous, especially during storm season. If you are looking for a place to relax and get away, this is it. The rooms are a little on the rustic side, not a 5 star hotel, but the location more than makes up for it. I would definately return here... More

A gem along the shores of Lake Superior. Great for outdoors enthusiasts.

We had a family gathering for my mothers 85th birthday and everyone thorougly enjoyed themselves. The staff was wonderful and the meal we had fantastic! We had a great time out in the voyageur canoe. The relaxed attitude of the staff to our numerous requests was greatly appreciated and sitting on the deck under the stars was so relaxing. Dinner... More

We stayed overnight here at the start of our kayak journey along the shores of Lake Superior Provincial Park. The staff were courteous, helpful and friendly. Dave sat with me to give me tips and information about highlights of the park, which were very helpful. The room was clean. There was no TV, which only added to the charm of... More

Stayed here with our two young daughters and loved it. Position is truly beautiful and it is such a quiet location. This is not a 5 star resort nor does it pretend to be. If you expect basic accomodation in a beautiful position, with helpful, relaxed staff, then you will be very happy here. We stayed in the Patterson room... More

The accommodation was good. No hair dryers. The hot breakfast promised when reservations were made, did not appear. Our host was more interested in kayak participants than lodge guests. However, the views from our room were great.

The lodge is set in a picture perfect location. Nestled on the rocks where Michipicoten River and Lake Superior meet. The rooms are modestly decorated but comfortable. The staff are friendly and very helpful and the lodge offers a large selection of canoes and kayaks to rent from.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at the lodge and it was the best! We've been married for four years and this summer, we are thinking of coming back. So many wonderful memories of kayaking down the river, seeing a black baby bear, eagles...such tranquility. We bought a camera in Wawa and captured some of the most beautiful photos.... More

A small lodge, located on a small peninnsula jutting out into lake Superior. The location is hard to beat. The room was basic, but clean and comfortable, and the window only meters to the water. Do not arrive expecting a four-star resort...it's not. But the location is pure five-star. (and really, the lodge is quite cozy, just not fancy) The... More

don't kid yourself this place is a bit rustic. it;s a base for tripping and adventures, on the edge of a wild lake up north, not a hotel or luxury joint,. just relax, and adore the views!!!!! \ aree kitchen can be used to cook your own meals as can the bbq, but neither are the cleanest just very convenient. we...
