Had to make a road trip to Baie Comeau recently and since my last stay discovered some nice and pleasant renovations making my time there much more comfortable. There is now a bar very close to reception area and a nice dining room with real good food. Staff were polite and very friendly

outdated and needs work - for example in the breakfast room I thought someone had spilled something sticky on the floor, but it was actually the top coming off the flooring. Also breakfast was very plain - first time I have has cold omelettes... Be sure to make your reservations directly with the hotel - I stayed with 5 other... More

This hotel has an interesting past, and one can see, as one approaches it, that it is a beautiful building in an exceptional setting. The gardens are beautiful, and from a distance, Le Manoir looks quite grand. Inside is a slightly different story. Decor is dated which would be special if the hotel were vintage 1920's, but it's mid '60s... More

Overall this hotel was a very pleasant place to spend a few days. The bed was comfortable with good pillows. All the usual little things we might need were provided. The towels were generously large and more than one bath towel each! I always judge a hotel by whether or not I sleep well, here I did. Despite a busy... More

What a treat this was after driving from Labrador City. The river view is worth the surcharge, and you can open your windows a bit in your room. The ambiance is old world charm and I really enjoyed it. A bit of a slog to move your luggage from the parking lot but no big deal (duffle bag before wheels... More

We stayed at the Hotel Le Manoir for two nights in two separate rooms both at the beginning and end of our holiday. It was pure heaven, the beds had nice linens and were very comfortable, the bathroom was squeaky clean and the toiletries provided are very nice. The manor itself is unique and charming. The front desk staff are... More

Best location. Very attractive, furnishings. Nice staff. Great water view. What's not to like? That great view is bloody annoying at 6 in the morning because there are no blackout curtains (or any curtains), just ultra-thin nylon sheers. Up and at 'em, like it or not! Also, my award for most unimaginative breakfast. Price is right, but we ended up... More

After staying at sub par accommodations in Labrador, this was a welcome respite. Big spacious room, a king size bed (whoo hoo!) Reception was polite and efficient, and helped us out with an English translation of the dinner menu. Walked around the property and took a quick walk to the river. Playground a short walk away if you brought the... More

We came in tired and looking for a place to stay in Baie Comeau. The reception staff was very apologetic that all they had left was a small room with a double bed. They offered us a look at it before we decided but at that point we didn't care what it was like and took it. We were very... More

The Hotel le Manoir is a lovely property looking out over the St Lawrence River. From the bar terrace the first evening we saw a pod of three whales in the distance. The rooms are large, solidly built and delightfully quiet. It's well worth splashing out extra for accommodations facing the river; open your windows and you'll hear water splashing... More
