We had late lunch here on the way to Twillingate. Our server was great, fun, helpful, loads of personality. We both ordered the chicken warp and small Greek salad which came with the meal. Both were Very good. Lots of chicken in the wrap and the sauce was oh so yummy. We didn't have to wait long before the food... More

Badly in need of a face lift. Circa 1980s cracked sink. Carpet has not been cleaned since then. On the upside, staff is friendly. But...This place is seriously overpriced for what you get. Smoky lobby. Sadly not much choice in Gander. Stay elsewhere if you can. Harley drag races in the parking lot if you don't need to sleep.

Eight of us stayed here on our way from one side of Newfoundland to the other. We were tired by the time we arrived, having driven from Rocky Harbour in Gross Morne park. We were so happy to find that they had a pool that was open. The kids had a wonderful time and we were able to swim both... More

This hotel is older and needs a update. I stayed in a ground level where there was a parking spot in front of a second door to my room. I would not recommend this hotel at all. When I went to bed around 11:30pm, I flipped open my sheets and I found a bug in my bed, don’t worry it’s... More

This hotel has seen better days. Everything is outdated and truly warn. I was surprised how unfriendly the front desk person was considering she should delighted that myself and a colleague spent a nickle here. Customer service should be the paramount for a hotel in this condition.

Old, outdated, over priced and dirty pretty much sums it up. I stay here for work a few times a year and I must say its sad they can charge $120 a night for some of these rooms. The beds in some of the rooms look at least 15 years old and are VERY uncomfortable. Overall, not a very nice... More

This hotel is interesting, I felt like I should be driving a DeLorean, I kept looking for the town clock so I could jump myself back to the future....this hotel is outdated just as everyone else has said before me. I must admit, I stay in the Hilton family of hotels a few times each month all over Canada so... More

My wife and I overnighted here due to work committments. Hotel is pet friendly but a heck of a place to get around- it is like a maze getting from your room to the dining area or lobby. Hotel staff were friendly and efficient but the building itself is in need of renos. Still use keys and not cards to... More

The room was extremely cold, holes in the wall where a picture must have been hanging at some point. Rust around the wall fan and the trim around the bathroom door. Carpets very dusty around the baseboard. A very outdated hotel. The staff at this hotel were very friendly, food was excellent.

I would not recommend this hotel because it is so dated. Reserve a room at another hotel in Gander or stay in another community if possible. I think the only reason this hotel does well is because it has large banquet space for functions. If there was another alternative, this place would go under! Disappointing!!
