This hotel has seen better days. Everything is outdated and truly warn. I was surprised how unfriendly the front desk person was considering she should delighted that myself and a colleague spent a nickle here. Customer service should be the paramount for a hotel in this condition.

Old, outdated, over priced and dirty pretty much sums it up. I stay here for work a few times a year and I must say its sad they can charge $120 a night for some of these rooms. The beds in some of the rooms look at least 15 years old and are VERY uncomfortable. Overall, not a very nice... More

This hotel is interesting, I felt like I should be driving a DeLorean, I kept looking for the town clock so I could jump myself back to the future....this hotel is outdated just as everyone else has said before me. I must admit, I stay in the Hilton family of hotels a few times each month all over Canada so... More

My wife and I overnighted here due to work committments. Hotel is pet friendly but a heck of a place to get around- it is like a maze getting from your room to the dining area or lobby. Hotel staff were friendly and efficient but the building itself is in need of renos. Still use keys and not cards to... More

The room was extremely cold, holes in the wall where a picture must have been hanging at some point. Rust around the wall fan and the trim around the bathroom door. Carpets very dusty around the baseboard. A very outdated hotel. The staff at this hotel were very friendly, food was excellent.

I would not recommend this hotel because it is so dated. Reserve a room at another hotel in Gander or stay in another community if possible. I think the only reason this hotel does well is because it has large banquet space for functions. If there was another alternative, this place would go under! Disappointing!!

We just stayed at the Gander Hotel & reserved our room months ago. We had requested a King size bed but when we arrived at the Hotel, the night receptionist explained to us that only a room with a double was available. We're we not there to attend a function, we would have left to seek somewhere else to stay.... More

Having to walk up hill from the parking lot should really give it away that there is work to be done with this establishment. Not having automatic doors is a turn off, not to mention to have patrons smoking right outside the main entrance. It was evident as to why other hotels were sold out and as to why this... More

I really don't even know where to start. It was such a horrible experience. The rooms and everything in it needs to go to the dump. There is old window a/c units in the windows which sound like jet engines. Then there was the people partying in the smoking courtyard into the wee hours of the morning. Complained to the... More

We overnighted at this hotel for an early morning meeting. The location of the hotel is great. The front desk staff, dining room staff were very friendly and helpful. The major problem with this hotel is the structure- it really needs renovations. For the price being charged one would expect a better facility. There is so much to do the... More
