I do a lot of traveling and stay a a lot of diffrent hotels but this hotel is very bad. at best it was SEMI clean. our room had a bad smell and everything in the room looked like it was from the 70's, we paid $130 + tax and it was only worth about $50. the restaurant however was... More

Lovely helpful staff. Nice room. Warm. Bathroom clean with loads of towels. Scrambled eggs need work at breakfast. Next time my flight is diverted to Gander in an emergency I'll look forward to going to the Albatross again. Recommended.

This place must've been awesome circa 1973. Some 40 years later it's in desperate need of an update. The staff are nice, but the decor, food and amenities are sorely lacking. A medium length brown hair was on my sheets when I climbed in.Not mine, I'm blonde.

Had a restful stay at this hotel. The place was clean, the bed was comfortable. Staff was very pleasant. Food in the restaurant was good. Would be nice if they had had laundry facilities - there are no laundromats in Gander. Very well located off of the TransCanada and across the street from the Aviation Museum. Also close to convenience... More

Front desk and dining room staff were really great- friendly and efficient. The rooms were a bit hard to get to, as there were stairs but no elevator. The bed was too soft for our liking, but everything was clean and as seniors we got a free full breakfast.

we had a suite. it was meh? I hoped there would at least be a pull out couch in the living area so that our kids could sleep there and we could have a bit of privacy...nope! We ended up dragging the mattress off the other queen bed and putting it in there. Beds were really hard and upon settling... More

Overpriced, mediocre hotel that's part of the ring of hotels in Gander. You have no other choice in Gander, so you have to pay through the nose for a place that really should be $90 instead of $150. Hopefully you're here on business, or else stay in Grand Falls-Windsor or Badger.

I stayed at this hotel around 15 years ago when I first started working in Newfoundland. I would say they haven't updated a single thing in this hotel. The beds are hard. The wifi is slower than dial up, so I hot spotted off my phone as it was the only way to get email done. The only redeeming thing... More

There is nothing particularly terrible about this hotel as it's pretty much what you get with any Steeles Hotel outside St John's. It looks like it was decorated in 1983 and little has changed. I found my room which was ground level was quite damp. The dark colours and low ceiling give this place an oppressive feel. The only highlight... More
