I believe this is the sixth or seventh time we've stayed at Blue Willow over the years - the latest being last week. Maxine has created a truly relaxing haven with three course gourmet breakfasts (this time she accommodated guests with gluten and dairy allergies with specially prepared foods just for them), beautiful gardens and tasteful, comfortable décor. If you... More

On quickly dumping our bags we dashed down to Qualicum 'Curling Club' to watch our hosts Maxine and Jim win their 'friendly' match, just! We had arrived in Canada having followed the GB and Canadian teams win their respective Winter Olympic medals so it was brilliant to be invited to watch the game first hand. We had a very comfortable... More

We stayed at the Blue Willow over the 2013 Easter weekend. Maxine and Jim are wonderful hosts, extremely friendly and welcoming. Their home is beautifully kept, from the charming cottage to the lovely decor to the beautiful gardens. Maxine is an excellent chef -- her 3-course breakfasts (see photos) are creative and delicious (and filling!), and I really enjoyed the... More

We stayed twice with Maxine during our travels round Canada and were sad to leave her lovely, friendly company. Maxine, and Jim, are splendid hosts ands its obvious she loves what she does as she is just as thrilled to have you stay in her home as we were lucky to have found her. Beware, breakfast will last you all day... More

Maxine runs the most wonderful get-away B&B. The home is full of interest as is the garden. Maxine is friendly and makes sure everyone has a wonderful experience. Her breakfasts are amazingly good, more than enough to eat and we've even had our muffins 'to go' as we were so full. My friend and I have been going for a... More

We chose Blue Willow Guest House with no previous knowlege of the quality of this Bed & Breakfast home. Maxine met us at the door with a genuine warmth and easy manner which made us feel at home at once. We stayed in The Rose Room, with it's beautiful, large and comfortable bed, elegant furnishings, a basin area with mirror... More

The owner Maxin does everything possible to make the stay pleasant. The rooms are charming and cosy. The guests are allowed access to a very pleasant, relaxing sitting area with music if desired. She is a gourmet cook and presents her guests with very tasty, special creations. We try to go at least once a year to 'recharge'.

We spent two nights in the Garden Suite, a spacious two bedroom suite, where everything was perfect. Maxine is the consummate host and made us feel at home immediately. Breakfasts both mornings were delightful and plentiful (she even served early so we were sure to make our ferry on time) and the mix of house guests made for memorable morning... More

Our family stayed for 1 night in the Garden Suite, where there was plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 children. The Blue Willow is in a beautiful quiet neighborhood. The gardens are lovely and the beds are very comfortable. We all slept soundly and woke to a delicious breakfast. Maxine, our hostess, gave us some very good advice... More

We stayed with our most gracious and caring hostess for two nights, once on the way to our destination and again on our return home. Maxine was gracious, caring and sociable without being intrusive and treated us as if we really mattered to her. Our room on our initial visit had a very comfortable bed, toilet and washhand basin.
