A delightfully restored artists' retreat on the edge of the fabulous Kingsbrae Gardens. Large comfortable rooms, perfect linens, quiet, deliciously prepared meals. Every look is a picture of tranquility.

The room was clean, elegant, quite small. We had a fiberglass shower. We had a perfect view of the trash cans and were able to watch and hear gardeners directly outside our window working. No ice available without having it brought over by staff and breakfast was a roll and coffee. No table was available to eat our breakfast. We... More

I had no idea what to expect, since I had never been to St. Andrews before and it looked like such a small town and a very sleepy winter evening at that, but I would recommend this experience to anyone looking for a touch of luxury. Harry--the owner--made us feel right at home and fell in love with our dog... More

There is no way to describe in words how charming and classy this place is. We were looking for a quiet and relaxing get away, and that is exactly what we found in the quaint town of St. Andrews. Not only was the Inn picturesque, but the owner himself made sure to make us feel most welcome and comfortable. I... More

I stayed my second time at Kingsbrae Arms in Sept on a quick trip to St. Andrews. I must say I had lovely stay and I overall quite enjoyed this small but charming hotel. The staff are friendly, very attentive and provided 'top notice' customer service. The room was clean, very attractive and very comfortable, almost like home. The hotel... More

My wife had asked to stay here for our anniversary, so I called to book a room and there was no answer. I noticed Booking.com had the room at the same price, so I booked it through them. Later, Pamela, the manager did return my call, noted that I had booked, and was very pleasant. I paid the full nights... More

A stay at Kingsbrae Arms is potentially inviting. The hostess is very nice and welcoming on receipt of arrival. After that there is no one on site each dayuntil breakfast. Someone carried our baggage in. No one was available to carry it out at departure. Breakfast is served in the garden. The breakfast served is lovely but the coffee seemed... More

The room was clean and large and the appointments and furnishings were attractive and interesting. The housekeeping staff was attentive and responsive. But other than bottled water, and a tiny bag of tiny cookies upon our arrival, the room had no complimentary snacks or beverages. Every premium small hotel I have ever stayed in provides these. Likewise, the toiletries seemed... More

Rooms are clean and comfortable but don't expect luxurious rooms or service. Food is terrible. The seafood tasted like it was frozen and here we are on the bay of Fundy! I would never stay here again.

Dear Jill, We strive to work with the freshest seasonal ingredients and are sorry that you were not satisfied with your dinner. We post dozens of pictures of our fresh seafood and hand picked garden produce plates on the Kingsbrae Arms Facebook page and invite others to see for themselves. Best wishes, Harry Chancey, Owner More

Was going to comment on the changes at Kingsbrae, but I notice that Diego M is unhappy with them. R&A is over the hill, and Kingsbrae has shucked off its elegant stodginess in favor of a more relaxed, yet still elegant, experience. The staff is no longer imported, but the wine cellar remains in the 90's, and the whole feel... More
