I stayed at the Blue Moon Motel (Thriftlodge) in Saint Andrews with my husband and son and 2 other couples and their children. What a nightmare!!! We drove to our "rooms" after checking in and couldnt believe that this establishment was allowed to rent these dirty musty little hovels to people and charge them $95.00 per night. We started calling other hotels in the area, only to find they were all booked solid. We considered making the 3 hour drive home but decided to take our chances and stay at this place. Big mistake....we should have left or at the very least, slept in our vehicles.

There was a garbage can directly in front of the room's door to catch water (and whatever else) dripping from the gutter. Assorted cigarette butts and mould peppered the front deck and door frame.
