In a quiet side-street but walking distance to the Platzl, the scenic downtown of Kimberley, and just across the road from the Old Bauernhaus Restaurant, Alpenglow is a lovely B&B well situated for visiting the town and surrounding sites. Anja, the hostess, also has excellent advice on nearby attractions. The room was bright and comfortable, the breakfast entirely fresh, various... More

We arrived late but were greeted warmly with a tour of the property. We immediately wished we were staying more than one night. The place is beautifully done with warm wood combined with modern conveniences. The owners are super friendly. Breakfast was a feast of cold cuts, yogurt, fresh fruits, and warm fresh cinnamon rolls. What more could you ask... More

I really like this place. It is peaceful, great views on the rockies. The hosts are amazing and their hospitality is just wonderful. I had a great room, so cool and cozy I slept like a rock. In the morning a splendid breakfast with homemade bread, scones and jams and lots of fruits and of course some nice talks at... More

This B and B was located in a very pretty part of Kimberley, great for hiking or just strolling. The room was nice and large with a very comfortable Bavarian style bed. It was so quiet that we could have slept for hours! Breakfast was a real treat; Ana went all out and captured again the European flare with her... More

We were slowly making our way from the prairies to the coast. We had heard that Kimberely had become somewhat of a Bavarian enclave in the canadian rockies and wanted to stop there. After ready a few reviews about the Alpenglow we knew that would be the place for us to stay. Our only dissapointment is that we only stayed... More

Travelling back from the West Coast we decided to pick Kimberley instead of Banff. Well, what a wise decision that turned out to be. Almost everything in Kimberley is located within walking-distance from the Alpenglow B&B. The rooms are perfect, Breakfast is amazing (thanks for my first 'beschuit' in 3 years :-) ) So nice to have something different from... More

We were staying over one week and we can recommend this b&b absolutely. Theo and Anja are very attentive hosts. The breakfast was always excellent and made with love. Our room - the Kootney room - was spacious and clean. And we loved the European style beds.

This is the second year we stayed at Alpenglow and it is always a really nice time. Very cozy house and rooms, very clean and well maintained all around. Conveniently located as it's a quick walk to the town centre. Our rooms always have small patios so we can sit outside and enjoy the sun. The hot tub is also... More

We had a lovely time on a recent "siblings" golf holiday staying at this B &B. Anja and Theo are delightful, interesting hosts who ensured our stay was very enjoyable from arrival to departure. The rooms were immaculate and comfortable, the breakfasts amazing with home baked breads, scones, eggs and varied fresh fruits, meat and cheese. In the evenings we... More
