We only stayed one night but wished we could have stayed longer. A lovely, quiet and well-maintained boutique hotel with artwork located throughout the building. Spacious room with nice furnishings. Located one block away from the platzl with shops and restaurants. Very helpful and friendly staff that went out of their way to help us. The rates are also very... More

Lovely place, fascinating history & beautiful foyer very tasteful. Hotel invites artists to display art work on their walls - great idea and quality items. Beds great - slightly at odds with the foyer but would highly recommend. Kimberley is a travel through location not a destination.

My wife and I were in Kimberley and the place we had in mind to stay did not meet our expectations so we just drove around town looking to see what other choices there might be. We stumbled over Chateau Kimberley on a side street. It looked beautiful and elegant on the outside. The inside was equally beautiful - polished... More

Stayed for just one night on a road trip through the Kootneys. Very welcoming staff, great little rooms, better TV's would have been nice, very nice bathrooms. Great common areas and the staff were king enough to provide wine glasses for the bottle we purchased at the the liquor store. The hotel is located close to town and some great... More

The Chateau Kimberley is a diamond in an old lead/zinc mining town, The ore has played out, but this head office of the former Cominco mine has been tastefully restored to a unique boutique hotel. It has the attributes of a B&B. A cozy meeting/ reading / t.v. room and an ample continental breakfast. Priced as a B&B. The hotel... More

Enjoyed our stay. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Super clean everywhere, including our room. Good sleeps, quiet hotel and location even though close to downtown Kimberley. Smaller town friendly atmosphere, art gallery in hotel, neat wooden floors, bright and cheery breakfast area. Lots of fresh fruit for breakfast, could have had more yogurts. Wonderful hot chocolate/coffee and cookie hospitality table... More

Wonderful place. Very friendly and helpful hosts/owners. Loved the lounge with afternoon cookies, coffee and lemon water for the hot days. The breakfast room was bright and cheerful. One morning we say two dear on the outdoor patio. I was given suggestions of things to see and places to eat. Within walking distance of the Platzl and a short drive... More

The hotel is located on a very quiet corner with access to several trails. It is a refuge for anyone who needs/likes peace and tranquility. You are welcomed into a gallery of art and warmth. The owner and her front desk staff are most gracious and helpful. Although I had not requested gluten free breakfast at my booking, Val was... More

This little hidden gem is the place to stay if you are planning a trip to Kimberley or around Kimberley! We were greeted by the owner ( Val ) upon arrival and felt so welcome and comfortable! The rooms are clean and a nice size. The hotel itself is very unique and makes you want to relax. Coffee and tea... More

Stayed at the Chateau Kimberley one night in late October. Admittedly a quiet time of the year so very quiet but there is something very unique about this hotel. The room was large, bed comfortable with all the comfort amenities. The personnel, including the owner were VERY welcoming & they lay on an excellent breakfast next morning. The Chateau is... More
