This place is fantastic! A wonderful old property retaining its original characteristics, beautifully appointed and very well run by the owners Jason and Miranda. The bedroom we had (The Peony) was very comfortable and spacious with ample drawer space if you need it, a good sized bathroom and plenty of lovely soft towels. The food is amazing, cooked by Jason... More

Stayed one night at the Inn recently as part of an anniversary/birthday celebration. It's a beautiful old house and the rooms have been very nicely redone. Our bedroom was spacious, warm, and comfortable, but the baseboard heating was a little noisy. Breakfast was exceptionally delicious. The hosts and staff were very friendly - you really feel welcome.

My friend and I stayed overnight last night, and we had an amazing experience. The room was clean, comfortable, inviting and private. Our private bath was large, clean and well decorated. We had a wonderful time, and I found the owners, Jason, the Chef, and his wife Miranda to be warm, friendly, personable and attentive hosts. They went out of... More

We stayed here for a night in 2012 summer while visiting the Thousand Island region. It is located in King Street, that cross along the town of Gananoque. The place is about half-restaurant (ran by the owner, who is a chef), half inn, and the lobby is common for both purposes. The room was very nice but very small as... More

On our tour of Eastern Canada we spent 2 nights here. The Inn looks very nice, the room we got was great, too. The only disturbing thing was the bathroom. It was very small, hardly big enough to turn around, the shower was plastic, very small. A pity, it spoiled the other impression. We had dinner there twice. It was... More

Fabulous service and friendly staff. We had to leave before breakfast so the chef kindly made us breakfast to go, which was delicious. The courtyard room was lovely, but the walls are very thin - we could hear the man snoring in the room next to us!

We have been visiting Marion and Jason off and on for the last few years. We always look forward. Hospitality, genuine, efficient and personable have always been the trade mark of the Athlone Inn, and there is Jason's cooking! I'm not surprised here, I am delighted. After a long drive, the earthy savory soup, and finely breaded lake perch were... More

My wife and I stayed at this gem of an inn for three nights to celebrate our 12yr anniversary. We booked two nights in the Tea Room on the 2nd floor of the main building, one night in the cottage portion, a small six room annex building. Overall, the accommodations were excellent. We enjoyed three fabulous breakfasts, which were included... More

My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 nights over the Canada Day weekend and it was one of our best trips! I booked one of the cottage suites and it was so cozy and clean. As the name implies, it gives off a cottage-feel with wooden floors with white and green tones. The bed was extremely comfortable and everything was... More

Perfectly located. The rooms are so beautiful, the whole bulding is breathtaking. We really enjoyed it. Breakfast was a treat! Very friendly people. Comfortable beds. We were traveling with our 13 year old son and they put an extra bed in our room. Worked out perfect. It wasn't cheap but really worth the money. It was something special!
