WE stayed for 2 nights in late June in the Caverly House for our wedding anniversary. To our surprise, on arrival we were greeted with a lovely note and bottle of champagne!! We had pre-ordered a cheese plate which was also present for our arrival. The room was very clean and looked well maintained. The room is a suite with... More

Thank you for your review and your positive comments! We are glad that you had the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful sunrise and sunset. As part of our green policy we decided some years ago to replace only non-functioning electronic equipment. In keeping with the age of the inn our furniture choices through out have been traditional in nature. More

We experienced excellent service while staying at the Gananoque Inn- our check in and check out were fast, and when we needed help in our room they were quick to arrive. We also requested help with the nearby bike trails, and the front desk lady made a point of coming out to the parking lot with additional printed information for... More

My husband I spent the weekend here for our anniversary, we chose the package which included room, cruise, dinner and breakfast. The room in itself is ordinary, functional and clean, but the people of this Inn made it such an enjoyable experience. The food at this place is amazing, the dinner was exceptional and the staff were the most pleasant... More

We spent a couple of days in July at the Gananoque Inn which is right on the waterfront of St Lawrence River before it flows into Lake Ontario and is in the middle of The Thousand Islands. (actually there are about 1,800 island many of them just large enough for a house.) While the Inn is about 120 years old... More

We planned to take a 1000 Island boat cruise and staying at the Gananoque Inn and Spa seemed to make sense. And so did the dinner and breakfast package. We weren't disappointed. The Inn is quite lovely and historic -- it used to be the Gananoque Carriage Works. And it is well maintained. Our room was clean and more than... More

For the price 300/night, the priminister suite, I feel it was not worth it...the porch was all full of cobwebs no view to speak of...the bathroom was falling apart, tiles coming up, and the tub was a greasy mess. So much for enjoying the jacuzzi tub. No water pressure to speak of in the shower that took 5mins to warm... More

My wife and I went to Gananoque for a weekend get away. It is a beautiful old Inn but would need some upgrades. Our room was on the 3 floor with no elevators. We were offered to have someone take our luggage up for us though. The room was quint but as is the case with most older accommodations washroom... More

A Lovely Inn. We booked a package with breakfast/dinner included. Great value. Lovely hotel; beautiful views; waterfront.. Very nice room (queen bed).. Beautiful beachfront - had a glass at Muskie's overlooking the water.. Loverly, Quiet, Slept like a baby. Not highly accessible n- many stairways; no elevators.

Thank you for your review. We are pleased to know you enjoyed your stay and appreciate your comments! For those who might be concerned, half of our 53 rooms are accessible without stairs. Because of the historic nature of the main building it does not have an elevator but we do have lots of assistance with luggage! More

We just stayed one night as we travelled from Montreal towards Toronto. We had a package that included dinner in the reasturant and a 'waterfront' room.   The room was ok, clean and near the water, but certainly not fancy - you don't really make the most of the view because it's a ground floor room so the curtains are... Thank you for your review. We are fortunate to have the only waterfront location in Gananoque. Most guests selecting rooms on ground level do so for the proximity to the garden and docks. Rooms with more elevated water views are available in the historic main building. Thank you also for commenting so positively on your dining experience and for mentioning... More

My husband and I were impressed with this Inn. We had a lovely waterfront room facing the water. About 20 ft from the water to be exact. The beds were very comfortable, all the amenities to feel you're at home. We were travelling also with our toddler and didn't want to dine in the "fine dining" restaurant and disturb the... More
