First off, this is a very good family option. It's less than ten minutes to St-Sauveur so tubing, restaurants, shopping and different ski hills are really accessible. The restaurant has a nice breakfast buffet (hot table: scrambled eggs, baked beans, potatoes, ham, bacon, sausage, pancakes, French toast; cold table: fresh fruit, yogurt, cottage cheese, cretons, hard boiled eggs, cheese; six... WE LOVE THIS HOTEL AND CAN'T WAIT TO COME BACK. We stayed in one of the rooms that were up a set of stairs. The room was HUGE, the bed was super comfortable, the fireplace was beautiful. We liked the rustic decor and thought the hotel was very charming. We went in summer - our only complaint was that our... More

We booked a month in advance for Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. We had reserved a room with a king sized bed and enough space for a third person. When we arrived we were told that rooms with King sized beds are too small for a third person so we had been moved to a room with 2 double beds. If we... More

My husband and I had a great weekend at Mont Gabriel. We stayed in the Rustic section. Our room was upstairs, under the eaves. The room had not been renovated. Rustic described the room perfectly. I thought it was charming, my husband did not. The bed was comfortable and the linens very nice. The bathroom was quirky as it is... More

Nice place with newly renovated rooms. After a sunny day out snowshoeing, we received a very friendly service by Eve in the bar area. Saturday morning, we enjoyed a great buffet breakfast. Our waiter Christian was super nice and the Maitre D Julien is really attentive to clients. The reason for the 3 star rating was because even though we... More

We booked our vacation package thru their website. 3 nights with 3 day ski passes in a rustic room which looked amazing in the online picture. We get there no fireplace, telling us to read the fine print online. They did upgrade us the second and third night but we had to move all of our stuff from one end... More

Spent a few days (between X-Mas & to celebrate the New Year) with my wife, friends and family in this quaint, traditional Tidan Group resort nestled in the Laurentians, approx. 40 min. North of Montreal. The Mont Gabriel team has made significant investment and delivered tremendous efforts to renovate - while keeping the original charm of a great little resort... More

I meant to write this review last fall, when all of this occurred, but I was very pregnant at the time and then the baby arrived and this whole story got completely sidetracked. Yet, we were in such complete shock and disbelief when it happened, that even now, almost a year later I feel humiliated and concerned. Not only the... More

Booked a room for the weekend my husbands birthday. The room was spotless. We were in just a basic room, two double beds. Beds firm but comfortable. Beautiful view from our balcony. Had the breakfast buffet in the morning, not included but well worth it.

I had recently booked a one night stay at this hotel and was unable to use it due to health reasons, as I only called the day prior, they billed me $50 as a cancellation charge. This policy had not been explained to me before, I am not happy and will not be going there ever again.
