we have just come back from an amazing 5 days on the Amanikan which is the luxury live aboard that sails out of Amanwana or Sorong in Indonesia. The boat itself whilst not a luxury yacht is exactly within the Aman style and provides the unique experiences tailored to individual needs that the Aman resorts pride themselves on. There are... This was our second time at Amanwana and it did not disappoint this time either. We took our family with us this time including out four-year-old grandson. The resort still offered the same great accommodation and water based activities but it was the level of service that really stood out this time. The staff were amazing and treated out grandson... We've just returned from a dream holiday at Amanwana. It's a beautiful resort, tucked between the jungle and the warm turquoise sea. Accommodation is in luxury 'tents' which are attractively presented and offer every imaginable comfort. Ours was right on the white beach. Staff are discreet, efficient, very smiley, friendly and warm. Deer and macaque monkey gambol about. Its all... More

We spent a magical week here last year. I must say that it is very hard to get to. You first have to go the main island and then take a long car ride and then get on a their luxury yacht to take you to Moyo Island. This resort is different from the usual Aman resorts, because of it... More

Our visit was last May 2012, I had to click (May 2014) because my dates were not available. As my 3rd Aman property and the most remote one to have visited, we stayed in an Ocean Tent. This place is very different from the other properties of Aman, very rustic, but very luxurious for a camping feel! I knew we... More

Tents - glamping does not get better than this. We were exhausted after a stressful few months ending with a country move and we just needed to relax. We spent a week at Amanwana and it was bliss. The weather in Aug is perfect, we dived everyday under the fantastic supervision of Steve from the dive centre. Mountain biking, sunset... More

We stayed one week in Amanwana and it was as close to perfection as you can get. From the staff and service to the location, activities, meals, finding such level in such a location was totally above our expectations. I know that hotel staff teams come and go but by all means, try to enjoy this gem under the management... More

Overall an excellent stay with many positives. The diving stands out as the most memorable part of the stay. The dive staff is excellent, hard working, and helpful in improving my diving skills. All of the dive sites were excellent - even the most basic house reef dive from the beach. The facilities are probably a tick below the typical... More

The private island was as mesmerising in real life as it was in the photographs. Living in those magnificent tents takes you into a different era of travel altogether. There is so much wildlife on the island, and under the water. Castaway on the private island, it really feels yours. The bet memories money can buy. Read my full review... More

I am almost loath to write this review for fear that too many people wanting to experience Amanwana's superb hospitality will ruin what is best about it. We stayed seven nights and dived six days at Amanwana and it was one of the best holidays we have ever had. This was my first time 'glamping' and thoroughly enjoyed it -... More
