My wife and I returned recently on our first wedding anniversary. For us too, the tea and cake in front of a lovely log fire made a memorable welcome. Lesley kindly put us in the same suite as our wedding night, which comprises a double room with a four poster bed, a large bathroom and another single room. She very... More

Found the Hall by sheer accident whilst browsing LateRooms...nothing could have prepared us as we drove up to the entrance, it was like stepping into a miniature version of Gosford Park. The owner greeted us with tea, coffee and home-made ginger cake, arranged for us to eat at a very good restaurant just down the road, port as a final... More

The house is in a great setting - we much enjoyed a comfy four-poster bed in a large airy room with splendid views. Excellent breakfast too. Nothing ultra modern, this is quiet, traditional country house comfort.

Set in parkland, thornham hall was a great place to stay. we were greeted with tea and cake overlooking the grounds. rooms were spacious and homely. You can't expect top spec bathrooms in a house of that age! (see moaning comments from a previous review) breakfast was exactly what was needed after a big night out. thank you lady lesley!

This is now the "nd time that my wife and I have stayed here in the past month, and we will be back every time we come through this area. It is so quiet, well appointed and although a mile or so off the beaten track is jsut the ticket for a good nights rest. Lesley, the owner, takes wonderful... More

Thornham Hall is a quite unique accommodation with a lovely lady owner who has thought of everything to ensure her guests of a perfect stay. The house is steeped in fascinating history and set in its own beautiful grounds. The bedrooms and the living rooms downstairs are all immaculate and so interesting with all sorts of artefacts. Excellent breakfasts, coffee... More

We had a warm welcome from lady Lesley and afternoon tea was served in the Library on quite a cold and dismal day. We stayed in the Blue Room upstairs which overlooked park-like surrounds, peacocks and horses - blue carpet, blue paint, blue sheets, cream curtains with big blue flowers, and many knick-knacks around the room - a bit too... Just spent a few really lovely days at Thornham Hall. Perfect English country house surrounded by lovely parkland with a completely delightful hostess who couldn't have been more welcoming. Warm cosy rooms with lovely beds and plenty of hot water for showers and baths! The breakfasts were magnificent. A great location to explore both the country and coast of Norfolk... More

Weather was fantastic so I might be biased but I absolutely loved this place. The house is a beautiful old family home and as the only guests we had it to ourselves. The bedroom and house was clean and full of character: books, trophies, pictures, peacock feathers and stunning view across the park with several roaming horses enjoying the sunshine.... More
